Treeo Senior Living - Independent Living is my choice. I went and looked at it, and probably the biggest thing is that it has a nice kitchen. The other ones only have a small bar with a sink where you might be able to put a microwave but no kitchen. They have a lot of amenities. They have an exercise room and a theater. They have crafts and lectures. The place was very clean. The staff who assisted me was good. The food was very good, too. The room was very nice. It had a step-in shower and a washer-dryer.

I toured Treeo Senior Living. The building itself was nice but I don't think the people that lived there weren't quite as friendly. The building was brand-new and modern. Their apartments weren't quite as big as the ones in the other place I toured, and their appliances were smaller, but they had upgraded cabinets and countertops. You have to get a bigger unit to get more storage, so that's a negative for me. But they offer a lot of services and stuff, they also have 24/7 staff and they offered transportation. The negative for them was that it was in a commercial industrial area and there were no medical facilities nearby within walking distance. There was no walking area unless you want to walk on city sidewalks. So it wasn't something my mom liked as much on that aspect of it. The person who gave the tour was very aggressive and pushy with my mom. The salesmanship was very aggressive. They had a courtyard sort of thing but it didn't impress me that much. The biggest thing that bugged me about the guy I was talking to there, was that when I was asking questions he got snippy with me and got short with me, though he didn't get that way with my mom and my sister. Then the aggressiveness and the pushing to try to get her to do something that day, on the first visit, I thought that was too much.

Treeo Senior Living - Independent Living was outstanding and much newer. They have a theater for sports fans, pretty nice therapy, and a nice restaurant with tablecloths and everything. It was a very nice place.

My mom is at Treeo Senior Living, Independent Living Raleigh. I like it and my mom tells me she likes it. She likes the atmosphere and said it reminds her of a hotel. They provided great meals. It's independent living because she's not there yet for a nursing home. They have board games and bingo. They have a gym there where she can exercise. They have activities as well as outside trips. They go to different venues and whatnot. That's the good thing about it. The room is spacious. My mom has a studio, which is just right for her because she has sold all her things, of course. It has a kitchenette with a stove and microwave. That's in addition to a stack washer and dryer.
