Fulton Commons Care is a wonderful nursing home. My mom is now doing better. It is five-star and the staff is loving and caring. It is beautiful and very clean. They do their best to serve their residents. She also says the food is fabulous. There's bingo and they had people coming in to play music.

My Mother was released from their care and sent to the hospital and no one contacted myself or my sister in regards to my Mom , and how she was doing since being transported to the hospital from your facility on 11/6 at my request, a day before you assessed her and said she was able to go home. Two days before she was released, I was visiting her and noticed that blood had been drawn and two days later when she released, we still did not have the results of that blood test from the staff. That same arm that was used to take blood was so swollen and bruised, that I cannot believe the staff, when drawing that blood, did not think that was an urgent issue and alert a doctor or a nurse. Prior to that blood being drawn, I had made a request twice to an aide to ask someone to look at her arm. It wasn’t until my 3rd request that her arm was finally looked at, and even then, we never received any response from the staff of the results of the alleged ultra sound that was done, as to what may have caused that, nor did we ever get the blood test results from you. I cannot understand how a rehab could not see that clearly my Mother was not well. She slept all day, everyday for the last few days of her stay there. She was not in a right state of mind and was in severe pain. The communication from the staff was consistently poor and important updates were constantly delayed. There were countless times that myself or my siblings went to the desk for help, and no one was there to talk to. Thankfully I insisted that she be taken by ambulance to the hospital after seeing her condition the day before you were releasing her to go home. That email was never acknowledged until we received a call that my Mom was already in an ambulance on her way to the hospital. Not one person called prior to putting my Mom in that ambulance to advise us that they had agreed to do so. They just called the ambulance, transported her to the hospital and THEN advised us she was in an ambulance. Once she was admitted to the hospital, we were advised within 2 hours, she had a UTI and the Flu and was dehydrated. When my Mother was admitted to your facility it was for physical and occupational therapy. She was alert and for the most part as healthy as she could be for 87 years old, with an underlying heart issue. When I walked in to see my Mom the day before she was being released, she was laying on her side, naked, wrapped in a sheet, and waiting for the aide to come back to dress her and reposition her back in bed. When I grabbed an aide for help, she advised me that the aide that was changing my Mom went on break!!!! That’s not care. That’s an utter disgrace. That same aide advised me she could not put my Mom back in bed by herself and would get another aide to help. I waited 15 min for her to come back with another aide, but that never happened. I had to chase her down in the hallway and insist she help my Mom immediately. I had to help that aide, clean my Mom and reposition her back to a comfortable position. The facility is understaffed and it shows. There was a time that I walked in the room and her bed was on the highest height it could be, she was laying there at the edge of the bed and she was a fall risk. No one paid attention to her. I rang the buzzer because I was too scared to leave her alone that way and it took them 20 minutes to come. That’s disgusting behavior for a facility that is supposed to care for their patients. The aides are not properly trained and do not show any compassion for the patients in their care. I watched one of the aides fight with a resident as he was trying to maneuver his wheelchair around his bed. She grabbed that wheelchair and pulled it away from that man very aggressively and then proceeded to yell at him. My mother was left sitting in her wheelchair naked after a shower, in the shower room and had to scream for someone to help her and get her dressed and back to her room. The facility is dirty. There were numerous times I was visiting my Mom and my shoes were sticking to the floor, and her table was covered in spilled liquids and old food. The resident bathrooms were filled with old urine filled underwear and sometime the toilets were not even flushed. Basic care needs were often overlooked. There were times my Mother waited 30-45 min sometimes just to use the restroom. Or she sat in a urine filled diaper, waiting for your staff to change her. If she needed to use the restroom while your staff was delivering meals to all the residents, she had to wait for the aides to finish serving meals to bring her to the restroom. That is shameful. Hygiene was neglected. Her hands were always dirty, her sheets/blankets were stained or wet and her call button was constantly on the floor. Being that some residents were bedbound, it is their priority that the aides make sure there residents were able to call them if they were needed. They neglected that duty as well. These are not minor oversights. These are fundamental responsibilities of this facility. The facility also appeared understaffed and, believe me, it showed. While some staff member (specifically Kerr) seemed to genuinely care, the overall aides were cold and rude. There was no compassion at this facility at all. I am extremely disappointed with the care my Mom received at Fulton. What should have been a safe and supportive environment ended up causing our family constant stress and concern. I would strongly caution anyone considering this facility to care for a loved one. DON’T! The residents deserve dignity, consistency, and compassion. Unfortunately that was not our experience. I never felt confident that my Mom was safe or being properly cared for. When a family admits their parent to a rehab/nursing home, they expect the best of care. My Mom did not receive that care from them. Please save yourself the worry, grief and concern and do not send your loved ones to Fulton. Sadly, yesterday morning, 11//17- we laid my Mother to rest.

Cleanliness of the rooms has improved greatly. Staff is overworked and overwhelmed. Most of the directors and assistant directors never bother to pick up their phones or return phone calls when you leave messages. DO your research before deciding to leave your loved one at this facility. I wish I had.

Just awful, should be investigated. I was in for rehab after knee replacement surgery and they ignored a chronic condition in my legs that the hospital had been treating, causing me to be bedridden for 4 days before they finally took action. With a few exceptions, the staff is rude and unresponsive. One aide actually tried to make me sit on a feces-smeared toilet seat, when I asked her to clean it she made a half-hearted attempt and left me to finish the job myself. And they'll lose your clothing in the laundry -- one time, several articles of women's clothing were sent to me (I'm male). They also ignore their own Covid mask rules; one woman who I took to be a dementia patient wandered into my room unauthorized and maskless a total of 16 times in one week, my attempts to complain were met with chuckles or a "she's out of her mind, you know," as if I should just accept it. The best thing I can say about this place is I got out alive.

The staff were very professional and compassionate. One of the staff that does not even work on the unit where my mother was, came down just to say hello to her when she heard she was back for rehab. The Administrator and the Director of Discharge stopped by to see how we were doing also. They seemed sincerely concerned about my mother. I feel comfortable and confident that my mother is being well cared for. Thanks to Glenda Dale, Precious, Bell and Waller for making us feel welcome! They all asked us several times if we needed anything to let them know. The rooms and facility were clean and well maintained. More importantly, my Mother is happy with the care she is receiving!

Fulton Common’s Care Centre is a moderate facility. A clean facility, but that is all about it. Facility administrator didn’t seem sincere in her approach towards residents’ well-being, in my opinion. Nursing and social work departments are ok. The best department is the housekeeping. The rehab department was also not upto the mark in my opinion. The weekday therapists were very good and hard-working, but in weekends my relative hardly got any treatment despite being on their schedule. On my repeated requesting that my relative get the same therapist everyday, the schedule was done in a way that my relative was treated by a different person everyday. This manager clearly had no empathy for residents or their family members . I will advise the readers to avoid this nursing home, as the rehab depart is poorly managed. I tried complaining to a senior manager in the parent rehab agency that the therapists belong to, but he was not helpful at all in my opinion and was rude himself. And people get admitted here to get rehabilitated so it doesn’t serve the purpose. I will be more than happy to provide more details. I hope the owner and administrator of this facility take interest in all these matters and resolve them. This review is intended for constructive reasons and positive outcomes.

Have had my mom here several times over the past 2+ years. Facility is lovely, staff is warm and accomodating and the care is beyond excellent. Especially during COVID, my family and I have appreciated the extra attention paid to communication with family members. Frequent calls from the Administrator, Nursing departmetn and Recreation staff have all beem greatly appreciated. Mom would of course rather be home, but when she needs rehab there is NO other place we would send her. Thank you Fulton!!

My mother has been resident here for over 2 years. After being in 2 other facilities coming to Fulton has been a HUGE step up! My mom has been very happy with her accommodations and enjoys interacting with the staff. Any issues or concerns we have had were addressed immediately by the administration. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing short or long term care.

We have had my mom in multiple facilities and this one is BY FAR the best one. The staff is very caring, they let us know how she is doing at least weekly and we face time with her almost everyday. Our questions are answered quickly and thoroughly. The food is not gourmet but mon can always get something different if she doesn't like what has been served. Top notch from the top down.

My mom had a horrible experience in this place. Many of the people were unkind and mean. If you needed assistance, it would take hours for a response. My mom went 6 days without heat and hot water. The food was awful. All, in all, this place should loose it’s license. There were a couple of people who were caring and did a good job, but they were few and far between.

At times incompetent and rude. Things were said that never should be said to a family member. Lacking empathy.

My brother was a resident. He was in the final stages of Alzheimer's. From the second we arrived, he and my family were treated with the utmost respect. Any request we had was taken care of immediately. The care he received was exemplary. Marie Benoit and Stanley and the doctors took care of my brother like he was their own relative. They kept him comfortable until the very end. Everyone, the nurses, the doctors and the rest of the staff could not have been kinder to all of us. Fulton Commons should have a 4 star rating for care. It's very clean and the care is top notch and when my brother passed we all cried including the staff. If I need a nursing home, I know where I want to be.

My mom has been a resident here since January. We are very pleased with her care. The LPNs are really kind and efficient. The recreation staff is outstanding. They are resourceful and are respectful to the residents. Not so

My mom is in Fulton Commons Care Center. There are some very good people who are nice and there are some who are not so nice. They’re shorthanded on some days, especially on weekends and nights. The grounds are nice, but there's not much room for too many people. They do have lounges outside and the location is very easy to get to -- it's a nice area. My mom's room is quite big and nice, which she shares with another person, and they share a bathroom. She has a TV and a nice big window, which lets in plenty of light. I didn't taste the food, but my mom loves it. They don't have that many activities, but my mom loves the rehab.

This place was terrible. The doctors never came in on time, and were often hours late. The nurses took forever to get to the patients, or never come in at all. My grandma had to wait over an hour for someone to help her to the bathroom. And they only came in because my mom went to yell at them, not because the help button was pressed. The nurse/staff were extremely rude. They refused to take her diet seriously and often gave her things she couldn't eat. (She was diabetic) They ended up missing a completely treatable uti my grandma had which, in turn, caused a bunch of other problems and eventually her passing away. Unfortunately she was stuck at this nursing home, as my aunt was trying to find a new one for her to go too but they were all full.
