We have secured an apartment at Decatur Pines in Las Vegas. It seems to be a nice location. There's a lot of shopping and it looks pretty safe. We paid the necessary fees to hold the unit. There's an adjoining assisted living place in the same complex, but this is the independent one where you do everything yourself. We went to the assisted living by mistake and we ended up at the independent one where we secured a unit. It's a nice neighborhood. There's a lot of shopping, and there's a Costco and a Wal-Mart. About everything you need is right there. There's a post office less than a mile away, and it's right near the freeway, so it's a convenient spot. We would have preferred a southern location as opposed to a northern one, but other than that, it's a pretty good location. The property seems to be in pretty good shape and well maintained. There are social activities, a library, a gym, a swimming pool, and a workroom if you want to do your business in an office atmosphere as opposed to your apartment. They've got nice and friendly people in management. It's a nice place.

Decatur Pines is nice. It looks brand-new, and they have kept it up well. Right now nobody can socialize because of a pandemic. It's got a pool, a nice recreation room, exercise machines, a pool room, and a library with an internet room. The staff was very nice. She waited on us, and she was very patient. She told us everything that we didn't know and listened to our questions. It's independent living, so they don't serve any meals.

I'm living in Decatur Pines and I like it here. It's very clean and the people are very nice. They have movie nights and live music nights. The facility is very nice.

I've been to the Decatur Pines, which is my first choice because it's very close to where I live now, and it would keep me close to my family. I thought it was very awesome. The rooms were very spacious for my needs. They have one and two bedroom apartments, and the rent is probably something that I would be able to afford.
