My husband was at The Care Center (Northfield Retirement Communities - The Care Center). It was very special. The layout was so nice and quite homey. He was very comfortable there until he passed. He had a roommate which was fine. The room was very adequate. I wouldn't have any derogatory thing to say. He had very good care. They have some eating places where you're not in the dining room. You can eat near your apartment. There are three different places and things like that, so it's very accommodating there. They always do activities. They have lots of bingo and a lot of things going on for them to participate in. I'm pretty satisfied with most everything here.

The Care Center is the skilled nursing and rehabilitation community of Northfield Retirement Communities, a locally managed nonprofit serving the Scottsbluff-Gering area since 1973. Located at 2100 Circle Drive in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, it provides short-term recovery and long-term care in a comfortable, homelike setting.
Licensed nursing staff provide care 24 hours a day, including medication management and help with daily needs. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy help people regain strength and everyday skills after an illness, injury, or hospital stay. Care plans reflect each person’s needs, preferences, and goals. Daily life includes meals, housekeeping, laundry, and activities and time with others. Residents are encouraged to bring familiar belongings to make their space feel like home. The team works with residents, families, physicians, and hospital discharge planners to coordinate care and walk families through the next steps. The Care Center is part of Northfield’s continuum of care, alongside independent living at The Residency in Scottsbluff and assisted living at The Vista in Gering. You do not need to be a current Northfield resident or have a Life Care contract to receive care. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted.Not sure where to start?
