Broadwell Senior Living is beautiful, and the staff is phenomenally friendly when they do their tours. Their facility is beautiful, and everything is great about it. My father-in-law needs assisted living, and they would be able to accommodate him once I get him to the stage that he needs. They have everything that I need to maintain him and to take care of him in a very good way. What I like about the place is that they had very good interaction with all the people who lived in the facility. It's like being at a luxury hotel. They have a beautiful dining room with a gas fireplace. It creates a very nice ambiance. They have a back patio with umbrellas where they can sit outside, which is very lovely. They have a view of Yanney Park out there. As I toured the place, the people who lived there were all very welcoming. They recognized the staff and talked to them. The staff also knew their names and communicated with them like they were a family. The staff members were all phenomenal. They answered my questions and were very direct. At that time, my father-in-law was still in a condition that they couldn't accept him, which was very understandable. We just got ahead of the gun a little bit, which is fine, but they gave me the information that I needed to know so we could move forward and get him to the point where he'll be safe, and they feel safe with him being in there with what they have to offer. They have a wonderful menu plan, and it looks phenomenal. They have a coffee shop area for the residents. It's like going to a little Starbucks, and they have all that stuff there for them. They even have a happy hour, which is an awesome thing. They bring in vendors from in and out of the area to give them training. They take them away from the facility to go on field trips. It's just a great place. It makes an older person not feel lonely, especially if their families are busy working.

Broadwell Senior Living-Kearney was new. They have long halls. You can only go to the second floor from the end on the east or the end on the west. It's a long way. I received a call from Jim, he's the one who gave me the tour, and he called and invited us out for lunch. The room that I saw was not as big. It's got a queen size bed in it. There's one space in there that I said, 'What goes in there, a dishwasher? And Jim said "No. It's for people that use their walkers a lot and they kind of sit there." It's cut out. It was like a counter. That's why I thought maybe it was ready for a dishwasher or something. Some use it as a computer station, things like that. I didn't like that but my husband probably would. He'd like to sit down and do things. The facility is new. It's nice and clean. The dining room was big and nice looking, like a restaurant. Overall, I think everything was nice. It just didn't seem like there was this much for the residents to do there, but the staff was very qualified and caring.
