"I have neighbor and friends at Shady Lawn, in the past 8 months. They love it, their rooms are decorated the way the want. The staff is quick on the call light, they are pleasant, they do screen visitors, and they seem to really care about their residents. The food is good per my 3 friends. My biggest concern is their parking is horrible. But it was clean, doesn't have any smell like some homes do. The residents enjoy bingo and games with play money to buy items. They have a wonderful enclosed courtyard. Residents have transportation when they need it. This is all I am aware of at this time."

"My aunt is in Field Pointe. It's a brand-new facility. She's in the memory care section. It's a very nice place. It has good and caring staff. They have plenty of room for more people right now. The assisted living portion is 30 units and they only have 14 or 15 people in it right now. Memory care is 15 units and they only have three or four people in that right now. The rooms look like apartments. They have a private entrance. She has a studio apartment and it's partially furnished. It has a bed, dresser, and a chair. It has a rather large bathroom and a rather large walk-in closet. The staff is very friendly and caring. My aunt says that the food is good. I expected her to complain about the food, but apparently the chef there is pretty good. The dining area looks like an upscale restaurant and it has cloth napkins. It's not the cheapest place that we looked at, but they pushed all the right buttons. Americare will help with getting Medicaid once the funds run out. They have skilled nursing facilities in other places and they pretty much have a place should my aunt's condition deteriorate and she needs skilled nursing. They have lots of activities. They play bingo cards and they had a Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras type celebration. They have a Facebook presence and I can look at what they're doing. They have a fitness room, a movie theater, and a salon. They don't charge for manicures, but they charge for haircuts. It's brand new and I met the maintenance fellow. He seemed to know what he was doing, and he got her pictures on the wall and it looked very nice. It's the best facility I've ever been to."

"The staff is not very respectful.They slack off on the job.The company also provides home hospice on top of the facility it's self.They run a pretty affordable business for people who really need assistance in and out of their homes and lives. "

"It was nice, the people were nice, they showed me around and I had a delicious lunch. I was very impressed with the facility. It was a nice place, clean and people were friendly. They also had several amenities and activities for everyone. The staff was very helpful in showing me around. They also have nice surroundings."

"I visited the assisted living part of the Living Community of St. Joseph for my stepmother. Everybody was great. The lady that showed me around was really great and I told her that my stepmom would like to have a garage. She called me back to let me know that they have a garage available. Everything was clean and seemed nice. The lady said that they will be doing a lot of remodeling. I went there a couple of months ago. They have a nice lunchroom for them to eat. They get together for different activities and there is a big room where they have different things going on."

"The resident rooms just have a bed no chairs for the residents to sit. So they have to sit on the side of their bed or in a wheelchair even if they do not need a wheelchair. The smell when you walk in the front door is awful. The smell of urine is very overwhelming. When I asked which direction to my grandma's room the lady at the front desk was very rude and said you have to have a mask on. I was happy to wear a mask but needed to know where to find one. These was a puddle on the floor which was urine and I had to clean that up and there were no gloves in the residents room."

"My mom was in Riverside Place around two weeks ago. She was admitted there with COVID, so I haven't been able to go inside. Well, I talked to her on the phone. She's been treated well there. She says it's a clean facility and the staff is pretty good. She said the food is good, there are large portions, they give her a lot of food. She's t getting physical therapy and occupational therapy. It seems to be adequate. The outside shows a little age, but generally well kept, pretty clean, and looks pretty good from the outside. She's told me that sometimes it's difficult for her to get some of her needs met. She needs assistance with changing her clothes and toileting, and she doesn't get her medications exactly on time, so they need to be more timely with her caregiving."

"King City Manor did a good job to my mother in law. It’s the only facility there in King City. They keep it clean, keep her entertained, and are simply working out fine. The food is excellent. They have a manor on one side, and the apartment complex on the other; there’s single apartments too. They take care of her medicines, laundry, and showering, just to make sure that everything is taken care of. She is in an independent one bedroom and one bath apartment -- perfect and nice for one person. It’s a smaller farm community -- really good for people who grow up around there. She has been there for almost three months now and seems comfortable. We go up every other week and see her, and she seems to be doing well. "

"We chose Pineview Manor because it's the closest to my dad's hometown and so there would be people that could go visit him. It sits on five acres of land and to my dad, that's a big deal. He's a farmer so he can look out his window and he can see farmland. There are a lot of retired farmers that are also in this care facility and I think that helps. The staff seems very friendly. The food is very good. When I was there yesterday, somebody was playing the piano and they were playing a lot of old songs. Dad enjoyed that. The other thing is at 11:00 every day, except for Saturday, they have a mini church service and a spiritual message for the residents. I think that's important for them."

"I toured Two Timbers. They only have 8 to 10 residents at a time, so it's a real homey feeling place. It's just very small and very clean. It has a big old fireplace and everybody's surrounding the fireplace, which has a TV on one side and the dining room on the other. It was very nice, and the staff was very friendly."

"My dad has been a resident there for almost one year. He likes it very much. His nursing staff is very good and you can tell they care about him. They have lots of activities if they are interested, and they do holiday parties and so on. I do recommend this facility."

"Parkdale Manor did a lot of remodeling. So, it has improved in the last couple of years. The dining area and a lot of the rooms have had new paint, new tile, and been fixed up. So, it looks fairly nice now. Just like the people you meet on the street, the staff I met there varies. Some were unbelievably helpful and kind to me, over the top supporting, and went out of their way to help me and my mother, then there were others that were having a bad day and were grumpy. So, it was kind of a range of both, but there are multiple things they did that I greatly appreciated now that COVID hit. I don't really blame them for any bad things that happened during that time, just because it was hard on all healthcare at that time. I have eaten there and my mom really likes the food, and she always compliments it. She loves to play bingo, but they also play other games like flyswatter volleyball with balloons, and some kind of Pictionary or Wheel of Fortune. My only complaint with them is they don't do these activities every day, maybe only four days a week. So, my mom gets bored on the weekends. Also, even if they have done some remodelling, it is kind of hard to disguise the building's age."

"I am currently staying in Autumn House. I am happy that they have elevators, as I cannot use the stairs too well. I like that the bathroom in my unit has a walk-in shower with grab bar and I do not need to step into a tub. I have a girl who comes in to clean every couple of weeks or so. They have what they call an oats bus, which we can use as transportation. However, they are pretty much based out of the Autumn House parking lot. So you have to call twenty four hours in advance and it is a dollar each way. "
