When we showed up to admit my wife the outward appearance was pleasant enough. The further in we got in the more decrepit the facility became. By the time we got to the actual room I was disgusted by the appearance and cleanliness. The room was unkempt and filthy. Dirty floor, actual pee on the toilet seat, air conditioner cover missing where you could actually put your hand into the blower fan, the walls were dirty and peeling paint. No side rails on the bed and they said they could not put one on. I could not leave her there and ended up taking her back home immediately.

This is the most disgusting and filthy place that I ever had stopped in!! Activities is awful and the person over activities was awful and so very rude! She was tall lady named Tamra! I don’t see how other workers had to work under her, but hopefully a new person took over! ! My husband and I took our family member out of this facility! She wanted to do more activities but couldn’t because activities were more concerned with smoking residents instead of doing real activities with the residents!! The food at this facility is awful not worth what we paid for a tiny roach invested room that definitely needs to be updated! One day when I came to visit it rained so hard that water was getting into all the rooms! I thought I needed a boat to get out!! This is why my husband and I decided to take our loved one out of this awful facility!

Roaches all over facility. I seen a roach crawling on a patient. People are beyond filthy and stay in the same clothes for days with no bath because of laundry not getting down. Covid is back and people from covid walk all over facility. This place is beyond a disgrace ran by adon Peggy. These ppl should not be in healthcare they are disgusting.

My wife is in a nursing home called The Pillars of Biloxi. She has dementia, and she wanders. It's kind of a special unit for her. She's just been in there about four weeks now. It is nice and is an older place. There is a lot of stuff, and they take good care of them in the unit that she is in. They have good nurses and good people who takes care of them. They seem to be alright. She seems to be happy there. It's not something I wanted for her. There's a lot of private places that are a lot nicer and newer as far as the buildings. The Pillars of Biloxi is an old place, but they take good care of them. I can't really complain about that. They have excellent staff there. They seem to do everything I've asked them to do. My wife shares the room with another person. The room is kind of small. They don't have a lot of closet space in the room, but they get by. It was kind of like a hospital room. They have a curtain that they can pull that separates them. They have started some physical therapy. She has not been there long enough to get involved in a lot of stuff yet. I'm not really sure what they have. She's kind of in a lockdown unit where they can't get out the doors. They have an area they can go out. There are about 20 patients there, and I think 4 of them smoke. They have a smoking area out there. I asked them one time if they would take them out, and they said they do. They take them outside and let them out once in a while to get some air. It's not really nice, and it needs a lot of work. It's an old nursing home, but the people take care of her really good. They seem to do a lot of activities.

My mother has stayed there a couple of times. It seems they've done an overhaul with their staff, a lot of new faces from top to bottom. Her most recent stay for therapy (2019) was a very pleasant and stress free stay for her. More choices for meals. Thank you to all the staff there. Sadly, if 99 people were happy with their stay, a few may write. On the other hand, If 10 people had a negative experiance, most of them would probably write. That's my only complaint in regards to these surveys. 1st visit 3of 5 and 2nd visit 4.8 of 5 :-)
