Maple Vista

The visit to Maple Vista was very nice and very good. My wife went with us and we enjoyed it. My mother seems to be pleased too so I would say it's very positive, as of this point. We decided on it for my mom because it is so close, about a half-mile away from where I live so it was one of those no-brainers. Of course, if it's a nice place, I'm going to take her there. What I like most is that they have meals, gathering areas, and all that. The least, I don't know whether it's going to continue, but they have a mask mandate. My mother might be able to tolerate it and, in her home, she's going to not have to worry about that. It's not that bad. I think when they go into the public areas like in the cafeteria and the reading room, that's maybe when they would want to do that. The staff that we had on the tour was very good. We saw a room that was a suite with a bedroom on the side and it's all open. The kitchen was small, the refrigerator was kind of small and low too. The only issue I saw was that she's got to bend down for the refrigerator. We may bring in an extra small refrigerator so she doesn't have to bend down so far. The living room seemed spacious enough, I thought it was nice, and it was very clean.

We toured Maple Vista, and it is family oriented. I just thought it was a very nice community. I like the location; it's kind of tucked away from the main area, and it is an older community. The staff who assisted us was pleasant and knowledgeable, and she took her time. She was easy to talk to when asked questions. I saw the dining area, and it was spacious yet cozy. They weren't using the dining area at the time we visited, but everything was spaced out, and it was clean. There were staff members in position as I walked through areas, and they were doing their job, like the laundry.

We're residents of Maple Vista, and I don't have a single complaint. It's a perfect little apartment for us, they come in once a week, they vacuum clean kitchen and the bathroom. The food is excellent. They take us to Walmart, Kroger, and we'll be doing more things this summer. We've only been here a couple of weeks, but so far, I really don't have one single complaint, and the people are extremely nice. The people that work with us are very kind, very polite, they do everything to help you, including bringing your food to your table if you want them to. We have a nice laundry, we have somebody come in once a week that does hair for a very reasonable price, somebody comes in to paint nails, and we do crafts. We have a bedroom, bathroom, 2 big closets, a front room, and a little kitchen.
