"Mom moved in almost one month ago and has made the adjustment very well thanks to the warm and caring staff of Meadow Lane, the many residents she knows, the good food and various activities that help fill her days! Unfortunately, as is the case everywhere now, and for far too long in the healthcare field - most especially with residential care- the shortage of help in all departments is a real and present problem but with a little patience and persistence, it has not proved as much an issue as one might expect, although time will tell on that! So far, we’re very pleased with Moms new home and look forward to her enjoying a safe and secure (dreary!) Michigan winter! If affordable to your family, we would strongly recommend checking into Meadow Lane for your loved one when that time comes…"

"Courtney Manor is a charming and welcoming assisted living facility. They offer a variety of services to their residents. Whether residents need short term care, physical therapy, specific disorder care, specialized nursing, continued care, or hospice care, Courtney Manor has a solution. Overall, the facility is agreeable. The residents are checked into charming rooms with beautiful views and all the conveniences of home. However, in a recent inspection Courtney Manor was not up to code in that the sprinkler system was outdated, smoke alarms were not properly installed, and a backup emergency plan had not been established. While these are big complaints, standard inspections ensure that Courtney Manor fixes these problems to ensure residents' safety. Also, the food at Courtney Manor is lovely. Residents have the liberty to choose their meals from quite a few different options. Also, there are professionals that work in the kitchen at both regular foods and diabetic specialties. The best part of Courtney Manor is its friendly staff. Loved ones can be watched over and cared for by a staff of individuals that truly love their job and helping others. They are all skilled in medical practices as well as in communication. It is nice to know that a loved one is cared for by such qualified people! Overall, Courtney Manor is both a pleasant and welcomed surprise in the world of assisted living. "

"For the most part I felt like this place had several good workers that cared for the residents. I saw good teamwork among the workers and good communication. The staff really cared about the residents. I would gladly refer someone to this nursing home. I was impressed with the building and am excited to hear that they recently added on more room to the facility. There were many activities available for the residents and the food was good. I felt like they took good care of my Grandmother when she stayed there. The facility smelled pleasant and I was happy to find my Grandmother clean and comfortable every time I went to see her, which was quite frequent. Overall, the atmosphere was good. The only thing I can really complain about is the safety alarms that frequently went off; however, I realize they went off to keep the residents safe. "

"My mother is in Autumnwood of Deckerville and the care is pretty good. They give updates and they have a monthly meeting for each client there, so everyone can get caught up on their own families and what's going on. They do whatever her insurance will pay for, including the therapy. Her room was fine before when she had a roommate, but I believe they moved her and she doesn't have a roommate now. The place is locked, you have to get somebody to let you in and let you out. I was there once myself for rehab and the food was good. They have a chef on duty and he's good. They have a room to get them all up and they play bingo, listen to music, watch TV, and they have a lot of games and things that they play with the ones who want to. They have an exercise room, they have a TV room, they have a game room, they have several different things like that. It's definitely clean."
