My aunt recently passed. She lived in the memory care of this community. My family toured many local memory facilities before we moved her here and we are very happy we did. Nikki, the director and her staff are great. They were always attentive to her and were very communicative w us on her medication mgmt and the changes in her condition. The memory care area was lively and always filled w residents and staff--weather they were having a birthday party or playing games. The community is beautiful, very clean and a nice environment. My family an dI had interactions w Kelleigh the Director, Tierra the Head Nurse and Lisa and Susan who helped us move my Aunt in. Thank you all.

My mother has moved into Anthology of Farmington Hills. We looked at several places and we liked the location, the layout, the activities, and the services provided. The staff is very good, very attentive, pleasant, and responsive. It's been a very good experience from that perspective. It's very clean and well-maintained. It's a relatively new facility. I've had a few meals there, and I thought the food was good. There's a nice variety and they publish the menu. They have a very nice dining room. The residents are very nice as well as the people that work there. They have an App that can go on your smartphone and you get notifications if a person that lives there goes to any event. They track all the events and you get a note, so by the end of the day, you're gonna look at your App and see five or six things they've been to, you feel pretty good about it.

I want as many people to know about the care here. If you are independent and can care for yourself then you will probably enjoy it. However, if you or your loved one need any type of assistance (medication administered, assistance getting to meals on time, or showering) then please stay away. Our experience was that medications were passed anywhere in the a.m. between 5:30 and 10:00 am, which made meal times sporadic. Our mom was never bathed (except by us) in the almost 5 weeks she and my dad were there. The apartment went almost 5 weeks without being cleaned. It was cleaned a couple of days after our mom passed away. Ongoing conversations regarding safety issues were not addressed by the executive management team. If sales tell you that they are overstaffed be sure to inquire what that actually means (it may mean according to state law they are overstaffed but far from being adequately staffed). If your loved one has physical needs this is not where they will 'age in place' as the staff is inexperienced and under-trained. Nice caregivers for the most part, there were many including the concierge(s) that were truly interested in getting to know our parents. Sadly not enough to overshadow the issues we experienced.

Anthology of Farmington Hills was a much happier place. It's very colorful and very cheerful looking. There are a lot of things to do there. They have a movie theater, a bar where they do Margarita Mondays or Wine Wednesdays, a library, a crafts room, and lectures. They also have a nurses' station on each floor. The one-bedroom apartment was very spacious and decorated beautifully. It's done nicely in grays and whites. They have a full-size refrigerator and a washer and dryer. You can rent the furniture, to begin with, but you need to bring your own. The aides will do the laundry and it doesn't go out of the room. The dining room was also very happy looking with bright oranges and yellows. I met a couple of people and they were lovely and very nice, too.

Anthology of Farmington Hills was very clean, nice, and well managed. I think that they're on top of everything. All the needs are met for the seniors. It's very clean. It's a new facility. It was quiet, and it's a nice little community. They knew what they were doing as far as the care. They had a courtyard. They had an exercise room and a library.

Anthology of Farmington Hills was a very nice facility. It's a newer facility, and it has very nice open space for both assisted living as well as for a memory care unit. They have a bistro, and of course, there's a hair salon and different activities. They offer meals and menus, and families can visit and have meals, and it's not very costly. There were a lot of other amenities that were very, very helpful and nice. They didn't state that there was a move-in fee, because when I went to some of the others, there were move-in fees. It seemed decently priced, and at the time, if you booked during June, they were going to give you a $1,000 off each month for the next ten months or something like that. They were doing like a promotional thing; however, at that point, my mother wasn't ready to go anywhere, so my siblings didn't do anything about that. But it was a nice promotion for families. They also had an outdoor courtyard, a balcony, and different things.
