"We visited the independent living community. The facility itself was great, and the apartment that we were looking at actually had a nice balcony, which would have been nice. For activities, they combined independent living with assisted living. They're a very beautiful place to go to, but just a little further away from all of our kids when I want to see them, so we decided to go somewhere else. They have a one-on-one exercise area and underground parking. They're also newer, and the staff members were always very lovely."

"Hearthstone, Pella was very clean. The staff was really good and engaging with the residents. They have what they call "The Cottages" and that's where my mother-in-law will stay. She will have a nice room there that is big enough to bring a few of her things from home. It's nice, organized, and the residents seemed happy. There's a very nice place that they can go outside and they have an area where they can do activities or just visit."

"My mother has already moved to Windsor Manor Indianola, and she's doing really well. It's closer to my home, and my mom really liked it, so that's where she chose to be. It's really homey and very warm. The staff is great, very personal, they help out, and they're open to hearing what you have to say. My mom enjoys all the meals that she gets. She has no complaints whatsoever. It's very, very clean and has fresh paint. She has her own apartment. They do bingo, they have a coffee shop, they have arts and crafts, they have puzzles, they go on trips, and they have devotion, church service, and exercises. Value for money is really good. She gets her laundry done, she gets housekeeping, they do her medications for her, and they help her out with her showers."
