My mother was a resident at Sunshine Acres for 8 years. When I had to place her, due to beginning Alzheimer's, I was heart broken. I was sure she would stay angry at me forever; she wanted to remain in her home. The staff, who remained pretty much the same for her entire stay, took my mother under their wings and their kindness made my mother feel instantly at home. They cared for my mother for the remainder of her life. As her disease progressed and she began wondering and became more confused their patience and ability to clam her amazed me. When she became hospice the love and kindness of the staff overwhelmed me. Not only did they take excellent care of her (no bedsores EVER!) the love and support they showed my family and I was truly touching. When we came on hard-times the owner worked with us financially to ensure that my mother could remain in the facility she came to know as home. I will never forget the kindness and love they gave my mother. They will always have a place in my heart.

A very cozy, clean facility.. Rooms are small but the patience seem to be well care for

Sunshine Acres is pretty much the same as other facilities I visited. Like others, they're designed for profit first. I believe they are lacking in terms of care especially for seniors with memory issues. Also their rooms were actually not as big as I hoped them to be.
