I just relocated my parent after 8 years of living here. They were no longer providing a happy fun place my parent was use to. Boring, less than par food choices, clearly understaffed. If you are looking for happy and nice dining- go somewhere else. If you are looking for quiet- this is it. Good luck!

Sentry Hill at York Harbor was a beautiful community, exactly what I wanted. It has freestanding independent living little cottages. My tour was fantastic. I only met one person. It was during COVID, so it was just the two of us, but she took me all around. She was wonderful, very friendly, and helpful. I wanted a private cottage, and there were very few places in Southern Maine that had them. I've chosen Sentry Hill because they had the private cottages.

My husband was at Sentry Hill in York. He was there during the day; at that time he was still able to be at home. They had this day program for dementia, and he was in the area called the Browning Lane. They had several levels like assisted living, independent living, and memory care. During the time that we were with them, I saw all of the different categories. The facility was very nice. It's a nice building, and it's very clean, but it's also expensive. They have good care, and the staff members with whom I dealt were good.

Sentry Hill at York Harbor has condominiums for assisted living, inns for independent living, and then the memory care is all grouped together. The assisted living building is separate from the independent living building. The place is very clean and very attractive. It has a library, a gym, and a couple of meeting rooms used for various activities.
