My dad has moved in to Woodlands Memory Care of Lewiston. The staff there is brilliant, including the custodian. They are wonderful, but they don’t have enough staff to look after the residents. They have an arts and crafts room, and they have a teaching room where people come in to teach the residents certain things. They have someone who plays the piano. They have a vegetable garden. They have books on a bookshelf that the residents can borrow. My father likes the food there. The people who work with my father, the custodians, the CNAs, and the nurses are all wonderful. There’s a lady who comes in for 12 hours and she’s older than some of the people there, she does some of the food services, and she is wonderful. The people who do direct care for the residents are out of this world. The girl named Kayla is wonderful. Everyone was very kind.

I went to Woodlands Memory Care of Lewiston. It's quite new. I did notice a little bit that they were lacking in staff and were looking to hire. The interaction was good. I would say the intake representative was good and helped me with the application right on site, which was convenient. I didn't see much activity, and I didn't see many residents. My impression was that they were separated from each other and at separate tables. It seemed more like a cafeteria than the others. They actually had two very nice courtyards, and everything's new. It's just the location is not as wooded as some of the others. There were a lot of safety features and safety doors.
