My mother is there. Staff attentive polite respectful. Clean. Meds on time. Low activities in evening and weekends. Need more staff. For value awesome. Food not fancy, average normal meals with choices. Holidays are honored and birthdays.

The nursing and dietary staff at Pinewood Terrace was welcoming and most of the staff appeared to be on task based on my observations. I did notice that the facility appeared to be understaffed because the nurses seemed to be in a hurry every time I saw one of them in the facility. When I asked my family friend - a resident of the facility - if they enjoyed living in Pinewood Terrace, they told me that the staff was friendly and compassionate for the most part but my family friend also stated that the meals weren't satisfactory and there were few activities to participate in during the day. When I brought my family friend to the activity room, I noticed the activity schedule for the week and there were no more than two activities in duration of 1-2 hours going on each day, and this excluded weekends. On the weekends, there were no activities planned because the facility did not have an activities coordinator for the weekend shift. I also noticed that the nursing staff was doing housekeeping in addition to their nursing tasks. The facility appeared neat and clean based on my observation and the residents appeared to be well taken care of, except emotionally. Most of the residents were left in the common areas to entertain themselves because the staff did not have time to do activities with them and there weren't enough activities throughout the day to keep the residents entertained.
