My father is currently at Southwind Healthcare & Rehabilitation. So far, our experience has been good. They're very quick to inform me of any change in my father. If he has a fall or anything that's out of the ordinary, they usually give me a call. They keep me apprised of any changes in his behavior, appetite, or anything else like that. They're usually very good about that. When I visited inside before, it was very clean and not very smelly like a nursing home. It's a very good setting for him. It's a nursing and rehab place. They just can't give him the one-on-one quality. They're taking care of him as best they can, but they can't spend quality time with him like he needs because of how many people are in the community. They've been very limited in activities because of Covid. They normally have activities, but I haven't seen any yet. Because of Covid, there's been a lot of restrictions. They have to keep the community pretty much apart. To me, they're quite expensive But for the level of care that they provide, the value for money is probably about average.

Southwind was clean, pretty, warm, inviting, and nicely set up. I thought it was a very pleasant place. The staff was very pleasant and caring. The rooms and dining setup were very nice. The atmosphere was also nice. It would be an enjoyable place to be. When I was there, they had just come back from a luncheon with the residents and were having bingo in one room. I thought everything was great. The staff was super nice and impressed me.
