"Addison Place is a good facility. When you go in there, it's like a country living type of setting. It's nice. They have a community area where they have couches and things up in the front that they can all sit and visit, and my mom is allowed to take her dog with her there. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. You can call any time you want and they'll help you out. The food was really good and they're home-cooked meals. They do all kinds of activities, and they have at least three or four things to do in a day. The only day where they don't have any activities going on is on Sunday, but they have a Bible study instead."

"My Mother, who recently passed away July 2011, was a patient for Alzheimer's at Garden Manor. I was very happy with the care they gave my Mother, especially in her final days there. I would recommend this facility. "

"The first impression of this Resident home was How small it was. The rooms were smaller than the room I had as a teen at my parents house. The facility is clean and expresses a friendly environment. I also noticed that everytime I visited it seemed as though they were understaffed. Never enough employees there to provide a safe level of care. Patients ranged from Semi-independent to completely dependant. Some of the residents had dirty fingernails and messy hair, but others seemed very well groomed. My biggest fear was that the administrator seemed to have no idea how to make the place function properly. I actually filed a complaint because I noticed how he mistreated the staff and even a few residents. Most of the nurses and CNA's seemed to be knowledgeable and skilled, but also seemed burnt out and frustrated. I don't believe I would choose to allow a family member to reside there. "

"My mother's at Majestic Care Connersville. It's clean and well taken care of. They have service available to the people there, so they're not there alone. If they need help, there's help available if something goes wrong. The person who assisted me during the tour was very helpful. She was very informative and understanding. I liked working with her. She was very helpful in trying to find a solution. My mother likes the food. She's been there for a few weeks now, and she enjoys the food they give her. She's been sick for a little while because she fell a couple of times, and she's better now. I don't know what activities are there, because I haven't been involved in that part. But the staff was very helpful, understanding, and courteous."

"I've moved into Majestic Care Connersville. It's independent living, which means that we don't get the same services that the skilled care buildings do. The one-bedroom apartments are wonderful, good- sized, and comfortable. I would gladly say anybody that wanted to do independent living, please come. It's just one building and it's quiet and you don't have anybody above or below you. Everybody is nice to you. Nobody bothers you. It's peaceful. It's gorgeous and you can decorate your apartment however you want. All utilities are included with your rent. There's also free basic cable. The only thing that you would need to pay is for your own phone bill if it's a landline or cell. It's an older building and some things need to be updated like the bathrooms, but they are all usable. They're just a little behind the time. The activities would be off at the senior citizen center about four blocks away. They don't have anything here for residents. There are some levels of activities for the patients in skilled care, but not for residents that are in the independent apartments. They do not provide meals if you are in independent living. However, many agencies can help you bring food to you. Every apartment has a kitchen."

"Caroleton Manor was where my mother-in-law was in her final days, and that wasn't near as nice. She went into assisted living and then she got to where she had dementia. She was in a 4-bedroom room and there was one chair and they had her sitting in it, so there wasn't any place. We didn't see any activity because she just sat in a chair, mummified. She would bite and kick people. She was mean, so they had to keep her sedated, but that was for her own good as well. I can't complain about the way the facility took care of her because I never saw them being mean to her. They said you could take her out of her room and move her down the hall to an open area, but they always had TV so loud you couldn't hear so we didn't bother trying to maneuver her down the hallway. The staff was all nice when we there. The security was fine. They didn't have an eat-in cafeteria, restaurant or dining room. They had Meals on Wheels delivered once a day. "

"My sister was recently placed in this nursing home as a permanent resident, after a week of hospitalization. She had been living for the last several years in an independent living situation but could no longer adequately care for herself. My initial experience with Golden Living has been a very positive one. The staff is open and friendly and seems to be well-trained. The physical environments appears clean and well-kept. Her physical therapy has been rigorous and well-managed. She is a young resident at 62, and I am hoping that with her sweet disposition, she will get along with many older permanent residents. If you are looking for a place and financial challenges in finding care are one consideration, I recommend this establishment., "

"Dad moved to Autumn Trace in Connersville. We chose it because it's brand new and the view that he has from his room is nice. The rooms are spectacularly clean and roomy, and the staff is nice. They have several different sunrooms and TV rooms. They have a movie theater and a small gym. They also have a dining room where the residents or their families can go in and cook a meal and have a big get-together gathering. It's nice. I haven't eaten the food but I have spoken with my dad and several other residents, and they all say that they have amazing food and that the only thing that they don't like is that they give them too much food. So, they feel like they're wasting it. They've played cards and board games and watched movies together and things like that."

"My husband and I are in Independent Living. We have a three-bedroom, two bathroom "cottage," as they are called, all on one floor (BTW your site erroneously claims the choices are only one or two bedrooms; there are indeed many three-bedroom units). All maintenance inside or outside is included in the monthly rate, even small stuff like changing light bulbs, and the social circumstances are outstanding. The neighbors as well as the staff are very friendly, and there are lots of activities--exercise classes, book club, chess club, excursions to Cincinnati via The Knolls' bus for concerts and plays, a weekly Happy Hour, an on-site moderately priced restaurant with both eat-in, takeout, and delivery; and much more. You take part where you want, and forget the rest--there is no pressure. All utilities, cable TV, telephone, gas and electric--are included in the monthly fee. We added it up, and the monthly total here was, when we moved in three years ago, just about the same as when we lived in our own house. Yes, there is a large entrance fee (similar to a down payment on a house), but you don't own the property, so can't pass it on to your kids (although of course you can still leave the rest of your estate to them). We think it was a fair price for a very safe, convenient, and elderly-friendly lifestyle!"

"Forest Park Health Campus was very nice and clean. The lady was very helpful and informative. She invited us to come and eat lunch with them and showed us the room. The food and the menus that they gave out were very good. The problem was that they did not take Medicaid. They keep them very busy, which is good. If Mom needed help, they said that they would have plenty of people working who could assist her."

"My Aunt is at Pinehurst, which is a nursing home that is located in Centerville IN. Pinehurst isn't a bad place; they take good care of my Aunt; however it feels more like a hospital than a home. When you walk in you walk down a hallway with no color or anything that would attract a person's attention. It even smells like a hospital. I don't ever see them do any games or "fun time". I have had dinner with my aunt a few times and the food isn't the best. There isn't a big verity of food to choose from. Again it seems that the people who live there are more like in a hospital than a facility in which they live. But like I said they do provide and take great care of all the people that live there and I guess in the end that is what matters. "
