"The residents at The Waters of Batesville seem to be pretty happy. Our mother had a little trouble in the beginning, but the nurses have done their work and the next day she was fine. They've been pretty good so far. She shares her room with a roommate and they seem to be happy with the amount of space they have. The facility is very clean. They have smaller and bigger common areas throughout different wings of the buildings, like a pretty big lunch room, which is pretty nice for people to gather."

"My mom is at Aspen Place now. Their price is a little higher. The place is clean and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Food is good; that's the best part for her. There are plenty of activities. They are pretty expensive, but it is a nice place. She has been there for about two months now. The location is good. It is close to the hospital and close to everything in town."

"The first impression of this Resident home was How small it was. The rooms were smaller than the room I had as a teen at my parents house. The facility is clean and expresses a friendly environment. I also noticed that everytime I visited it seemed as though they were understaffed. Never enough employees there to provide a safe level of care. Patients ranged from Semi-independent to completely dependant. Some of the residents had dirty fingernails and messy hair, but others seemed very well groomed. My biggest fear was that the administrator seemed to have no idea how to make the place function properly. I actually filed a complaint because I noticed how he mistreated the staff and even a few residents. Most of the nurses and CNA's seemed to be knowledgeable and skilled, but also seemed burnt out and frustrated. I don't believe I would choose to allow a family member to reside there. "

"We are going to Morning Breeze. The price was the best we could find in town. The staff was very knowledgeable. We did see the kitchen, and it was very clean. The place was very clean, and there were lots of outside areas. The rooms were very nice sized rooms, and they were very clean. There's a lot of stuff, including outside areas for Mom to sit and visit. It's very convenient, too."

"I am moving into Crown Pointe Senior Living Community, and I liked the dining area the most. It was spacious and convenient and was on the first floor. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The facility was top rate. They have a courtyard and a patio. My room will be a big studio apartment with a kitchenette, refrigerator, and microwave."

"My Aunt is at Pinehurst, which is a nursing home that is located in Centerville IN. Pinehurst isn't a bad place; they take good care of my Aunt; however it feels more like a hospital than a home. When you walk in you walk down a hallway with no color or anything that would attract a person's attention. It even smells like a hospital. I don't ever see them do any games or "fun time". I have had dinner with my aunt a few times and the food isn't the best. There isn't a big verity of food to choose from. Again it seems that the people who live there are more like in a hospital than a facility in which they live. But like I said they do provide and take great care of all the people that live there and I guess in the end that is what matters. "

"My father was in the Alzheimer's unit of Morristown Manor for a few months. At first, we thought they said they'd take care of him but they didn't know how to deal with his problem. I was pleased with most of the staff, but it was the administrator who didn't seem to know what she was doing and couldn't seem to handle her job. It's a very nice-looking community and the nurses seem to be very kind. The food was pretty good. My dad's room at Morristown Manor was fairly small, but it was nice, clean, and well-kept."

"We had a couple of appointments with the people at The Knolls of Oxford. They were very expensive. We liked them the best of all of the places we visited, but the entrance fees and the monthly fees are unbelievable. We want to start with independent living and we've been to two or three different apartment configurations. We sat down and talked to the marketing representative, Cheryl. We had a couple of meetings with her and talked about options and she explained the entrance fee and the monthly fee and what they covered. I was very, very impressed with them. There's nothing negative about them. If we decide that my wife needs more independent living, we have an option to step up to the assisted living quarters. They have a bistro and a restaurant. They also provide a home delivery service. I rate everything a five except for the cost. It's an upscale neighborhood. They have many activities for seniors. It's a beautiful place."

"I was first greeted by the driver for the Health Campus. He told me it was a wonderful place and he had a family member there and it was a great place. Then I talked with Sandra the community service representative. . What a kind and wonderful woman. She showed me around the place and introduced the staff. Everyone I met there was so kind and understanding. The building is wonderful and very clean. They have many activities and entertainment for their people. I looked at many places in a 100 mile radius. This was by far the best for the money."

"I was very pleased with Raintree Square. You can get a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom, or a studio apartment. The staff was very accommodating. It's very reasonably priced and I like the people there. The dining room was family style with four chairs at each table. They have bingo, and they take them out to summer concerts, to Wal-Mart, and to doctors' appointments that you have to pay extra for. They have a pond, a garden area, and walking trails."

"My mom is at Senior Living at Forest Ridge. It is a very nice and very friendly community with lots of recreational activities and helpful staff. It's probably the nicest facility I've seen for senior living. They have high-class meals and the restaurant setting for all the residents is very nice. They have a morning stretch every day, card games, arts and crafts, a line dancing class that comes in once a week, and tours every so often out to shopping or restaurants and stuff."

"I toured Timber Creek Village - Shelbyville. I like it because everything is new and it's very close to my daughter, but it's very expensive. I like the arrangements of the rooms and everything. It's a very long building, so if you want to go from one end to the other for some reason and you were disabled, you'd have to have one of those mobile things, and I think that would be a problem. I wish the cars had a cover attached to the building or something, so you won't have to get out in the rain to get in and out of your car. The staff were fine, I had no problem. The facility was very clean."
