"I visited Blue Water Lodge for a community event during December. The community is beautiful and was very lively. They were under renovations at the time and were able to put on a beautiful event around everything going on. The staff were very attentive to the guests and residents. They had a musical guests, many treats, and Santa. From my experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blue Water Lodge to the seniors in my life. It is a light, bright, lively environment. Very comfortable space."

"I will move into Porthaven Manor. The room and the view are beautiful. It's just humongous. The lady who runs it, Christina, was just a sweet lady. They have a TV room for men for Monday night football. You could have tournaments for groups. It's a very good place. A lot is going on there. The facility was gorgeous and clean. The rooms are newly painted and all new carpeting. Everything is new."

"My sister-in-law moved to The Heartlands. What I like best is they really worked with me. I had them over from Ohio to Michigan, and they were really very helpful in helping me understand what needs to happen, and how it needs to go. They were very upfront and direct about what they needed and it was really good. Usually, they do an initial assessment in person, but because she was in assisted living in Ohio, they did a Zoom call with her. I was impressed by their customer service. Her apartment is fairly new. The whole place is only two years old. It's great. I would call it about a room and a half. They have all kinds of things that they work with, what they need, and what they can do. They have a cook on site and she's the head of the kitchen. My sister-in-law has been very impressed with the food. They try to get you moving as much as you can. They're trying to get her as capable as she can be without pushing her too hard, so that's been good, too. She could eat all the food some days. So it's good food inside. They have an activity director there that is really active."

"I moved my Dad into Angelic Gardens on July 2018, I knew from the first time I walked through the doors it was the perfect place /home for my Dad. Everyone was happy and greeting you with open arms. My dad was impressed with the cleanliness and home cooked meals, he truly bonded and cared for the women that took care of him and the other Residents. "Northwood Meadows - A Senior Living Community was a well-managed very clean facility. It's very spacious. The rooms were very well organized and set out. It looked like they had a very active community there and activities for the seniors. It seemed reasonable for the price; it just was not part of our price range. They have small studio apartments. They have a variety of rooms. The staff who accommodated me was very kind and very knowledgeable about the situation there and the situation with the residents. It looked like they were just under a remodel, so things were looking good and updated with the electrical and everything. It was very attractive. I saw that they were having some games in the community room."

"The Village of Lake Huron Woods is very, very nice. They have their own bus. They were friendly, compassionate, and caring. They make sure that you just don't sit in your apartment all day and that you go out and take part in their activities. Also, if you're not up to cooking any of your meals, you can go down to the dining room, and they will make a full, beautiful, good meal. They had someone come in and play the piano. They were warm, very hospitable, and welcoming. They made sure you also had a good time while you were there. We had a dessert. You could have coffee or tea, too. It was homey. The place was very well kept and clean."
