Interactions with staff have been great, always helpful, kind, informed and caring. My brother particularly benefitted by excellent physical therapy at Pruitt. This facility is my brother's go-to place for skilled nursing and care.

Mother in law's stay

The staff was kind and helpful. But I felt at times a bit overwhelmed. They did a good job of trying to keep her comfortable. Bathed her every other day. And had visitations from different staff to improve her stay. I was disappointed in the room. It seemed old and unrefreshed. And very limited space for each person. Shared a bathroom with 4 patients. Very small closet and two drawers but a roomy nightstand. Most of the food was to her liking.

My great aunt is in this facility. I visit her often and I could not be more pleased with her care. She has started to thrive since being at Pruitt. Thank you, thank you, thank you for loving her like I do!

PruittHealth Swainsboro seems to care about their residents, and they really focus on rehabilitation. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. My uncle's room could be bigger, but it is very clean. The do movie nights, and they serve very healthy meals. They give you options, and they have a very diverse menu.

This facility is is a nice building, but inside people are not getting showers or bathed as they should. For 6months I asked for better care for my mother. She is now bed ridden. She didn’t get the rehab she needed nor did the staff get her up to walk. Every time I visited (after we were allowed back in due to Covid regulations) she was in the bed and dirty and her meat was never cut up for her. I noticed that her face was drooping on the left side and I talked to the nurse on her floor. I got no response from her or anyone else. We have since moved her to a different facility and she is happy and smiling. All of her physical and medical needs are being met. By the way she did have a mini-stroke. I would not recommend this facility for my loved one.

Quality and integrity of patient care seems to have gone down this past year. 1.Our family member fell in the middle of the night and fractured her hip. She had to have surgery 2. The nursing home never notified us she fell or that they were sending her to the hospital. 3.When confronted about this they said they had called. We have a record of all calls even missed calls . No record of their calls to us or the other family member in Swainsboro they were suppose to have called.. 4. The ER in Swainsboro notified us that they treated her and sent her on to Meadows regional Medicial Center. 5. We Called the nursing home to find out just what happened and got a automated recording saying we needed to enter a pass code to be connected. We had no pass code . 6. We called Meadows Regional Medical Center and learned they were also trying to reach the nursing home to obtain our loved ones medical records . But got the same recording They were going to do surgery but needed her records first. We matched phone numbers . They had the same phone number. A family member went to the nursing home and hand carried her records to MRMC. 7 . Interactions with the staff about this were lousy. They said nothing was wrong with theirphones and said we gave the hospital the wrong number. The have average rooms. And our family member played Bingo . The key issue about this review is patient safety and lousy staff interaction.
