I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
Life Ending My Mom was a resident for just about three years, having moved in about 6 months after they opened when they were known as Your Life of Coconut Creek. The aides were mostly wonderful. They all knew Mom's name and were typically helpful but seemed overworked. I often questioned the staff-to-resident ratio but was always told that the facility met the minimum state requirements. While at Monarch, my Mom experienced two unaccompanied falls, the last one, in November 2022, was life-ending. Safety protocols appear lax and there is no way for a resident to call for assistance during the night when both falls occurred. We were told that our Mom could have yelled for help. I found this to be a totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and uncaring response. There was no way of knowing exactly how long my Mom was on the cold bathroom floor, by herself, scared and in pain, until the next bed check. The security bracelets issued to residents are totally ineffective unless a resident is near the door.

I visited this facility
The Monarch at Coconut Creek was clean and new-looking. We got a full tour of the entire facility, and it seemed to be well-maintained. The areas we saw seemed to have excellent staffing. We were greeted and treated very nicely. They were very knowledgeable, ready to hear about our situation, and what kind of options they have that would satisfy our needs. We met multiple people at different levels of the organization, from the head of food service to the executive director, as well as the sales director who conducted the tour. Each of their spaces that they refer to as neighborhoods had their own activity space. They had a hair salon, a laundry room, and outdoor areas that residents can use. They also had security measures.

I am very happy with all the care given to my husband over the last year. He seems happy and looks good. The facility is like a country club and the activities are great. Thank you for your effort.

Such a wonderful facility. Really informative and caring when I toured with Jill. Took time to listen and ask about me as well. Blown away by longevity of staff and the way the residents looked.

Had a wonderful tour over the weekend, after rescheduling many times due to my schedule. Blown away by the dedication and years of service of the staff, the way the resident's looked, and activities going on.
