"Summit Place was a very fancy place with exercise equipment, and exercise room, and big apartments. They were expensive, but they had lots of activities, bus tours, trips to grocery stores, oil painting, jewelry, reading, and book club. The location was beautiful right off the freeway. They had two pool: a salt pool for soaking or healing and a regular, heated, Olympic-sized pool. They had a nice dining room with a nice menu, but we did not eat there. They had a happy hour every day from 3 to 5 and separate bars and rooms for that. However, I did not like their paint and decoration. They had dark grey upper walls and the bottom part was green. The carpeting was dark. "

" Friendship Village has a gorgeous environment with flower gardens and walking paths. It is a very clean facility as you will notice when you first walk through the doors. Residents who I visited there loved the luxury amenities such as; the swimming pool and fitness center. Meals look very appetizing although I have never eaten there. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate the residents, and the local area is very safe according to local crime reports. This is definitely an above average facility both in appearance as well as the staff. Residents I visited there were particularly pleased with the social activities calendar and they said they felt much less lonely since they became part of the community there. Residents said they were pleased with the way the staff treated them and they really liked living in an environment where they could be independent but get the help they needed when necessary."

"I am thinking of moving to Amira Choice Bloomington. It's brand new, it's upscale, it's very nice. The staff was very friendly and they have a lot of activities. It just seemed to be a nice place that I would be happy at. There's an exercise room on every floor, they also have garbage and recycling on every floor. I will have my own balcony, which is a considerable size, my own laundry facilities, and big walk-in closets. I just met the receptionist, because this place is manned 24 hours so there's always somebody there. And she was a young girl, but very, very friendly and outgoing, and the sales manager is a very outgoing young guy too. I also met the recreation director and they were very nice. It all looked very nice because it's brand new. But they had lots of places where you could sit and visit with somebody else, or be by yourself if you want to, so you didn't have to stay in your unit."

"The Waters is our choice because it is brand new and my mom moved in on the second or third week after it opened. It is near my house so it is convenient for me. Although it is very expensive, she can afford it and it is a beautiful facility. The staff is unbelievable. They are so helpful and speak very good English. They have nurses (CNAs) on staff in the building 24-hours a day. So, she gets medications deliver to her twice a day because she has some dementia and can't remember when to take them. I can get hold of the staff any time that I want to. They have three Cordon Bleu trained chefs that work in the dining room and the food is magnificent. Her apartment is 1450 square feet. We are very happy with them. "

"We visited Vernon Terrace. It's an older building about 25 years old. We liked the location a lot, in fact we are moving this July. Most of the staff is okay. They have all kinds of activities like entertainment. They have a shuttle bus that takes you to places. "

"I can be overprotective of my mom and I can't tell you have confident I feel with my mom at Tower Light. She loves the people, you can tell the employees like working there. The interaction with the kids is wonderful and my mom is genuinely happy! "
