"Altenheim was pretty. It was very big, very spacious, and well maintained. The staff was really nice. It just was a pretty place to live. If my husband and I were out there, we might live there because it was very pretty. I love the laundry room and everything. The rooms would accommodate just fine. My mom and brother would have plenty of rooms to breathe and live and everything else. "

"I received an invitation from marketing 6 years ago to attend one of their events. I wasn’t able to come at that time. I called back later and asked if my daughter and I could come to tour the campus. Lunch that day was coconut shrimp and it was absolutely wonderful. We had lunch with two women who ended up “adopting” me when I moved in. They made sure I was introduced to many residents and all the activities there are at GVS. I love all the many activities available. We have cards, pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, Wii bowling, bingo, tasting parties and happy hour, various crafts and many other activities. We also go on outside trips to various parks to walk, tour museums, concerts, the zoo, the state fair, watch the Indianapolis Indians play, etc. I also love all that is available in the Wellness Center. We have yoga, line dancing, brain buster, balance classes, seated classes, stretch, and circuit classes which is a rotation of various exercises for one minute each. The room has many exercise machines available for our use. I love living here and enjoy the friendship of the many residents. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I think of them as family and friends rather than employees. "

"I have lived in a garden home at Robin Run Village for eight years and highly recommend it. Our community feels like a family; residents are friendly, caring and supportive of one another. Most stay active and keep up on current events. There are many activities to pick and choose from. There is a nice walking trail circling the campus, even an authentic log cabin situated in a beautiful woods. Staff make us feel like they really care about us and are pleased to serve us. I suggest that seniors considering a retirement community make the move sooner rather than later to make friends and adjust to senior living."

"We were very impressed and pleased with Hoosier Village, but it's an older facility. The staff who showed us around was very inviting and outgoing, fairly new but tried to do her best. They had a big aquatic center and a library."

"My family found Marquette Manor to be the perfect fit for my 96 year old aunt. This community has so much to offer seniors wanting to live independently, but with a minor need for assistance. A bit on the pricey size, but well worth the expense, the cottages along with all of the amenities make us feel much more comfortable with her living in this community. There is an on site bank, laundry facility, grocery store, and salon. Transportation is provided for larger grocery trips, doctor's appointments, casual fun and entertainment, other communities, and just about any needs or wants for travel. The unit also is inclusive of cable connection, light housekeeping, and basic utilities. The staff is very friendly, polite, and supportive to the families. I recall during a visit one of the residents had passed on, everyone was overcome by grief. The resident's daughter was filled with agony and sadness; she cried uncontrollably for what seemed like hours. There was a particular staff member who had taken the time to spend with the resident during her final days creating a scrapbook of sorts to share with her family upon her passing. When it was presented to the daughter she cried harder, but was able to express how much that little detail meant to her. This is the type of facility that offers “that little details with such an amazing qualified staff. "

"I visited The Stratford. They were very kind and very helpful. We met with two of the salespeople and one of them gave the tour, and we learned all about it. We went to the different areas like the dining hall, the pool, the library, the garden, and they were all excellent. The apartments that they offer were very, very nicely done. They were not only attractive but also very functional and presented a lot of options. They have a memory care area that was locked. It was very, very nice and I liked it."
