"I visited the Atrium of Belleville. It was independent living, but they provided a lot more support services than others. The residents were not allowed to cook in their room with anything other than a microwave and refrigerator. They have speakers that come in and talk to the residents. They have a full-service dining area, they offer cleaning for the rooms, and the residents probably need more support in independent living. The staff is very nice, and it's an older facility, but it's very nice."

"The staff who toured us at St. Paul's Senior Community was young and fairly new at what she was doing, but she was very nice. She was trying to be professional for her age and did everything she could with what she had. The rooms had a large hospital bed, a bathroom, a TV, a refrigerator, and a microwave. The place was a bit quiet and looked a bit vintage."

"I visited The Gatesworth. This was my second choice for my parents. It was probably the most expensive amongst the facility I visited but it's not out of reach at least for my parents' situation. I like that they have both living options; independent and assisted living and the staff that I met was just outstanding. "

EVERYDAY IS FESTIVE AND SCHEDULED WITH AN ACTIVITY .CABLE TV IS PROVIDED IN ALL ROOMS FOR PLENTY OF CARDINAL BASEBALL / BLUES HOCKEY . *THE STAFF ARE VERY ENERGETIC , FRIENDLY, AND ANSWER WHEN NEEDED. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A NURSE WITH HIS/HER HEAD DOWN SNOOZING...I'VE NEVER WITTNESSED OR SEEN CIGARETTE SMOKERS STANDING OUTSIDE SMOKING..EVERY STAFF MEMBER BEARS A BADGE IDENTIFYING THEIR POSITION. MORE FAVORITE THINGS : THE FOOD / DRINK MENU MULTIPLE DINNER LUNCH ENTREES TO CHOOSE - DELICIOUS HOME MADE DESSERT'S..MY MOM HAS ACTUALLY GAINED WEIGHT..OH AND I CAN'T FORGET THE IBC ROOT BEER . * DURING HOLIDAYS ALL AREAS ARE CREATIVELY ANIMATED. ST PATS DAY MOTHER THOUGHT SHE REALLY WAS IN IRELAND.. *ALL FLOORS HAVE ENORMOUS LIVING ROOM SPACE AND LARGE SCREEN HD TV'S. *THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF MANY THINGS MY MOTHER ENJOYS... IF YOUR THE RELATIVE OF A ELDERLY LOVE ONE THAT'S LOOKING DOWN THE ROAD FOR A PLACE TO LIVE OUT THEIR FULL LIFE THIS IS THE PLACE.... JF "

"We went to the Willows at Brooking Park. It was an excellent place. It's very clean and inviting. The people were nice and the whole environment was nice. It's really nice, but it seemed pricey. "

"My experience with Village North Retirement Community has been fantastic. I have a very nice apartment, they take good care of it. It's a very nice, peaceful community. The staff is OK. There's a few things they're lacking on, but overall they're really good. Their amenities are fantastic. I have a washer and dryer, but I don't really need it because I'm so close to the laundromat. It's well taken care of, and it's a nice community. There are plenty of activities like bingo, happy hour, and a community forum or talk. So it's nice. Their outdoor spaces are very nice, there's quite a bit of ground, and they keep it clean. They have fishing. I feel that it could be a little cheaper."
