"I toured Crestview Senior Living. It was a very nice place. The people I ran into were very nice. It was clean and close to where I used to live. They had activities, and the lady who showed me around was very nice."

"We chose Charles Gardens because it's one level and it's assisted living. Mom is to move in next month. It's not so big to where she will feel like she's lost. They do assist in medicine. It's just five minutes from my house, so I can visit her. There's a little pond outside. She can walk around, for she likes to walk. There is a major park nearby, and it's not far from the mall. It's near an interstate and near our church. The rooms are different sizes. She has an alcove, and it has a refrigerator and a microwave. It has a bathroom with a handicap rail. She has a patio, air conditioner, fan, new carpets. The staff is fine. They're very nice, very helpful. They have games, bingo, trips, and shopping. They have themed days. "

"My father was in rehab at Bethesda Dilworth. I would have given it a 5, but my dad likes the food better where he currently is. He really liked the place and the staff was friendly and caring. We couldn't go in because of Covid. He said the eggs tasted like powder. That's all I know. He walked and did rehab there. It was a pretty facility and it had a courtyard. I only saw the lobby and it was clean. It's a good location for my father because that's the place that would take his insurance. It was in a residential neighborhood. I would recommend them because of their friendly staff."

"Everything is nice at Garrison Care Center. My brother is getting what he needs there. It is small, yet big enough to do what they have to do. They have bingo, and he goes fishing. The food is great; my brother loves it. The place is clean and well maintained."

"My brother is at St Elizabeth Hall. I feel that they're taking good care of him. They have a dedicated staff that's been there a long time. There are two beds in the room and a little divider between them. It's not an actual wall but like a partition. With regards to activities, I know they watch TV, but I don't know what other activities they have to keep them active. For the type of place it is, it's very good. It's the best we've seen. I like the staff. The building itself is kind of old but it's still fairly nice."

"Mary Ryder Home is OK, and I did get a chance to talk to the director. They have private and semi-private rooms. The semi-private room was OK with two beds and a wardrobe. They have Bingo, a choir, rehearsals, and they take them to doctor visits. "

"My parents are in an apartment at St Agnes Home. It is clean and the right size for them. It has a bedroom and a living room, and it suits their needs. The staff has been very good. They're very satisfied, and everything has been excellent. "

"I want to go to The Gatesworth. It was my taste. It was very comfortable. It wasn't homey, but it was top-notch. It was nice looking. I like the feel of it. David, who accommodated me, was excellent. He was very thorough. He answered all my questions. He provided me with everything I needed. He gave me a complete package, took me all around, and showed me every aspect of the place. The food was good, too. It was well prepared and tasted good. They covered all the bases in terms of activities. They had entertainment spots. They had a happy hour. They had a movie theater. They had a recreational area and a card room. They had a workout space. They had classes for people who needed physical therapy. They had a swimming pool. They have a beautiful outdoor garden, which is the thing that swayed me the most. There are two small ponds and a walkway that goes all around it with lots of beautiful plantings. The thing I liked about it is that it has lots of benches where you could sit outside in the sunlight."

"We moved to Meramec Bluffs. The apartments are pretty nice and the facility is nice. It's kind of off the road. There's not a lot of traffic or anything. They have various levels including memory care and assisted living. The staff members seem capable and friendly. The food is pretty good. The only problem we have is that my wife is on a plant-based diet and I worry about her getting enough protein. For me, I think the food is OK. They have a formal dining area and an informal dining area, and that works out pretty well. They have a shuffleboard, which is very nice because people who are old and can't get around well can play shuffleboard. Men and women can both play. They have a lot of activities that people can get into, like different kinds of games. On Friday nights, I played Pinnacle with some people. They have a fairly nice workout area. It's like a little gym with different types of machines. My wife has participated, but I haven't, in an exercise program or chair yoga and several things like that. They have a pretty nice swimming pool for people. One thing I didn't like is that you have to pay a lot of money up front to move in. It could cost between $400,000 and $500,000 to move in, in addition to what you pay monthly, which is quite a bit, too."

"I moved into Woodland Towers. The people are very friendly. We have individual one-bedroom apartments. The upkeep is very good. We've got a patio in the back of the apartment, and it overlooks a pond. It's nice and comfortable out there. They've got flowers out there and seats where you can sit out and relax. The manager is nice. The maintenance keeps the facility clean. We have a senior bus that will take you anywhere in Collinsville, and it doesn't cost the seniors. They don't prepare food here. We have our own kitchen, and we cook our own meals. We have bingo twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anybody can join. Every other Wednesday, a lady comes in and we do ceramics. It's a nice place to live. There's a park right across the street, a grocery store on one corner, and pharmacies on one corner and across the street, so shopping is close."

"I have been living at Mason Pointe for over three years now. I enjoy it because the food is pretty good. It's excellent. They have a large menu. They provide a huge number of activities, and I enjoy that as well. We go on bus trips. They have a lot of activities within the facility itself. We have a theater, a beauty salon, and a swimming pool. It is kind of an upscale community. The people are very warm and friendly. My apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. I have a large deck that wraps around the outside of my apartment. I'm on a corner unit. We have 12-foot ceilings. Behind my apartment are just trees. I have a full kitchen. You could be busy every day of the week doing things. In the evening, they always have movies to show in our theater. It's expensive."

"My sister has lived at the Boarding Inn for several years. It was hard to find an assisted living for someone with mental illness yet who was functional. Very caring and well run home. My sister loves the friends she has made and the staff. "

"Our tour experience at Mari de Villa was very good. It's an independent living and liked the villas. It was a separate villa with 2-bedroom and two baths. We were quite impressed with the upkeep on them and keeping them new as far as the look. They had granite cabinets and wood floors, and they were beautifully done. The staff we met was great. He answered all of our questions, was very forthcoming with comments and was very nice to work with. They have a swimming pool and they have a workout room. We can order meals from their system and have them delivered right to our door. The prices were right too. We just really like the situation. The grounds were exquisite and there were walking paths and things that would have appealed to us. They have a lake with a fountain. It's just a nice, homey place and it's well kept. There were people playing bridge and some people working out in the workout room during our visit. There are people there moving from one villa to a bigger one. They've lived there for a long time and that says a lot."
