We found Holly Creek for my mother. It's great. The staff is excellent, and they have full facilities there. They have a walking area.

The rooms at the Holly Creek were very spacious. The place was also very clean. What I didn't like was that they may not have any outside activities as they had to tear up their outside putting green. However, they have a game room, indoor pool, movie nights, and transportation available. And although you have to invest so much money, you'll get 90 percent of it back when you leave.

We live in the mountains and just stopped by while we were in the Denver area. We did not have a reservation, but Donna was very kind to take the time to show us around and give us great information about the community. We are just starting our research on retirement options and were very impressed with the quality of the Holly Creek facility. it will definitely be a consideration in our decision making process.

Holy Creek had everything anybody could ever need. I knew some people who lived there, and they said the food was good. They had a variety of spaces you could choose between an apartment-like atmosphere with bedroom, living room, and kitchen area. They were a pretty substantial size.

Holly Creek was not bad; it’s a buy-in community, and some of the patio situations appeal to me. However, it was an old facility, and it needs upgrading. I think the staff was adequate and wanted to get the job done.

I had a very short stay at Holly Creek, and it was a nightmare. The bed I was trying to sleep in had plastic on it, so the sheet wouldn't stay on and I slipped off the bed, fell on the floor, and had to redo my surgery all over again. The facility is beautiful; that's why I picked it. I have had extensive surgery with rods from the base of my head all the way down, and they assured me that they were equipped to handle somebody in that situation, and they weren't. They were not equipped for that in any way whatsoever. The facility was lovely and everything was fine, but they had no place for me to sleep that was safe, and no one even instructed me on basic care like brushing your teeth, because you weren't supposed to bend or anything. Nobody explained anything to me about that. I was very unhappy. We even brought my recliner-walker into the facility, so I would have some place to sleep. But, it's lovely. You can eat whenever you like and get whatever you want there. I don't know if it was the staff or just the general way it was run, but I wasn't instructed on the basics that I needed to learn. I was very disappointed. I was only there for four days because after I fell, I had to go back to the hospital and have my surgery all over again. They had to redo my whole back. I had another six-and-a-half-hour surgery to redo it. They had to put all new rods in. I thought it would be perfect, but as far as my care went, it was horrible. I knew more about what I needed than they did. If you have a severe physical disability, I don't think Holly Creek is the place to go.

Holly Creek Retirement Community was very close to the doctor's office and to where my mother was living. My mother was very short and they were willing to put a front loading machine for her because she couldn't get top loading like washing machine. They were very accommodating and nice. The rooms were a little nicer and bigger. For the dining, they had three different options. You could go to like a snack bar; a golf course or a country club pub type thing and you had a formal dining room you could eat at different time. They had lots of activities and they had nice lectures. They would take you out to concerts or dinner. They had a full-time physical therapist. I thought it was very nicely done and very well run. However, you had to buy-in and it was a thoroughly hefty buy-in.

Holly Creek is well run and it's basically a Christian place. They have facilities that you'd expect a retiree place to have. The people we've talked to are very much approachable and friendly. I am a celiac and I have to have a special food and they provide that.

Holly Creek had nice apartments but it was out of my budget. The staff were nice and they showed us around on a tour. They had several small places if you wanted a quick lunch and a big dining room. I would commend this place to others.

The Holly Creek is a very, very nice facility. Good accommodations, various size rooms, and the staff seem very devoted.
