I am/was a resident of this facility

I was a resident at this facility for two months Agermeyer severe car accident I was hit head on I couldn’t go home after being in ICU for a month so I went there and they did a really excellent job on helping me heal and be able to do every day things and go home early and if I had to do it all over again I would go back there . The staff was amazing and kind and patient and the room I was in was great.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father-in-law was at Wellsprings Post Acute Center for a little while last year and they were not happy with them. The care was inconsistent and the staff was unprofessional. They need better staff training and better communication between staff and doctors.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Poor quality of towels, scratchy smells chemical and not absorbent. Poor pads not tossed so cracks in it so leaks on mattress. DSDs not answering needs. Maintenance do not fix shower problems, water from bathrooms not hot for cleaning patients properly. Wifi poor. Rooms are good right now no activities for patients because of COVID restrictions.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I am satisfied with every aspect of Antelope Valley Healthcare, except whenever they need to give my mom her medication, they'd say they'll be back in a minute but sometimes it takes them an hour to return. Mom does exercises and physical therapy, and they provide music and Bingo for the residents. The food there is good. The rooms have three beds, so the space is very limited.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We found a nursing home for my mom. She had surgery from the hospital, and they put her in Antelope Valley Healthcare for the next three weeks. It has been great so far. The staff is very warm, caring, and very open. They're so professional, very nice, and very knowledgeable. The rooms look like hospital rooms, but there is a couch in each one of them. They're spacious and clean. Security is great too.

I visited this facility

The staff at antelope valley health care was very friendly, however very unorganized. when you first enter everything seems nice and clean, but when you pass the double doors a strong odor of poop fills the air.I would always try to hold my breath. The doors all have numbered keypads so the patients do not escape, they flag the wheelchairs of the patients who like to try and make a run for it as soon as the door opens. The whole living situation is so sad, If you ever see this place I think it would make you cry. When you walk through the halls patients grab on to you to try to get your attention either for you to open a locked door, or to try and get some medical attention that has not been even acknowledge by the staff or even just trying to get food or water. If i ever was placed there i would try to escape as well. antelope valley health care is by far one of the worst nursing homes I have visited but there are so many just like this one. I dont feel the staff neglects the patients on purpose i just think there are too many patients and not enough staff. Nursing homes like this deserve alot more government funding. you never know we all might end up some where like this one day
