Assisted Living Communities in Plainfield, WI

"We visited the assisted living level of Rosemore Village. When I took the tour, I was impressed with the people that we met and the caregivers. The place itself was very homey, and the rooms were spacious. They offer a variety of activities for their residents. The residents are like family, and it's kind of what came across to me, that they show enough compassion and care. That was our first impression. The activities and amenities seemed pretty good to me. I definitely think this place is worth taking a look at."

"Mom is in Heartland House. They have assisted living and CBRF. She's in the CBRF. They're connected, but they're separate. They are very attentive to mom's needs. I like the quality of care. If there's an issue or if there's a need, they take care of it. The food is very good. It's an older facility, but it's clean. They have a beauty parlor."

"This facility has a great dememtia unit and the staff care is good the manager is a little diffacult to talk to "

"We have chosen The Lodge at Whispering Pines for my mother because of the amount of footage in the room, the very good relationship between the workers and the people who are living there, and the many activities and choices available at each meal. There's a beauty salon. There are walk-in bathtubs. The residents can ask for a big tub so their whole body gets warmed up, so that's an extra. This is a family-run place, which is also very nice. The staff member who gave the tour was very good. He showed me the place and explained things throughout the process. The place was very nice and updated."

"We're on a waiting list at Whispering Pines in Plover. The entire atmosphere was one of sort of still being alive in a circumstance where you needed assistance. It didn't feel like a nursing home as such. They had a good staff-to-client ratio. It was very well maintained, clean, and attractive. The downside is they don't have full- size refrigerators and they don't have dishwashers. I think that those would be nice things for the more active residents to have. We didn't have enough interaction with the staff. We only talked with the director. The building looked very nice. It is on one floor and I think that is very nice instead of having elevators. It was of a reasonable, manageable size and the outside grounds were lovely."

"Maple Ridge of Plover Memory Care Campus has a really strong activities program, and so they work hard to keep the residents busy. They were very accommodating. It was so moving. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. My aunt's room is an adequate size. They have a place where the residents shower, but they have their own toilet and sink in their room, which is nice. They have nice community gardens where the residents garden and then they eat the produce. They frequently post pictures of the residents on Facebook, too, which is nice for family members to stay informed. They have a really good cook there. A lot of homemade foods."

"The rooms are very spacious. I like how the bedroom and bathroom are separate from the living area. When my mother moved in, the room was in excellent shape and smelt like the brand new carpet smell. The food is delicious. I love the ala crate options for breakfast for my mother. The staff and management are great. Management has been very involved and willing to answer any question. If they don’t know the answer, they are quick to find it."

"My mom moved to Our House Senior Living - Wisconsin Rapids Assisted Care. It's a fairly small facility all on one level. I think they only have about 22 rooms, which is fine. It was nice, well-kept, and clean. The staff was very friendly. They attend to my mom's needs. They do activities throughout the day. I know they have a lot of activities. They even sent us a list of a calendar of what they will be doing from bingo to exercising, quite a myriad of different things. I think that all assisted living is too expensive, but this one is very comparable, possibly even a little more reasonable than some of the others."

"Hilltop Grand Village was a pleasant place. It was full, so we couldn't see any apartments. They had floor plans on paper but no dimensions, so we couldn't get an idea of how large they were. There wasn't a nursing home attached, so if you got sick there, you had to move to another facility. But it is a pleasant tour and it's a very nice place. It's out in the country, which makes it appealing. The pricing is average out of most of all of the homes. The fellow who gave the walk-through was very helpful and informative. But if we could have seen an apartment, that would have been most helpful. We saw the common spaces, the swimming pool, the exercise room and things like that, and they were very nice."

"A friend of mine was in The Renaissance and so I went over and visited him and then he showed me around. They got one of the nurses involved and lo and behold the room right next door to my friend was open so I got it. The people at The Renaissance were very helpful, they sent me literature and what to look for, and they gave me all kinds of good advices. My mother moved in July 30th. It worked out really well. She likes it, she's comfortable, so I feel good about it. It's right on my way to work, I can just drive right by there. Meals are good, people are friendly, and they got everything there for you. "

"We stopped in to check out the Harmony of Wisconsin Rapids as we were in the vicinity looking at assisted living options for our aunt. We needed to come earlier than planned, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The manicured outside grounds looked spacious and well kept will plenty of room for parties and for residents to enjoy easily and safely. The main rooms were nicely decorated and the residents seemed quite happy. The activities looked interesting, from local entertainment, to cultural happenings in the region. Residents are encouraged to participate in everything -- from outdoor outings such as nature walks, to in-house events. The snacks offered looked healthy and delicious; the staff encouraged everyone to eat regularly, including healthy snacks that are offered throughout the day. The food we tried was delicious. They make every effort to accommodate as many tastes and dietary needs as possible. Our aunt would really like their menu options, which seemed to have a lot of variety. The library was nicely stocked - and we were told that many of the residents are avid readers, like our aunt is. She would particularly like the garden area, where many of the residents spend quality time. The residents here all looked well cared for and happy; we could see our aunt blending in well here. "

"My dad moved into Cranberry Court on Monday. I really like it, they're very nice, and they're treating him real well. The staff is good, dad likes the food, and it looked good. He has a little kitchenette which is nice, he's got a private bathroom, and he's got his chair, his TV, and everything in there, and it's a good size for him. I liked that it's 2 buildings, there's a courtyard in the middle of both of them, and it's a nice place for them to hang out. They're very friendly, and everything looks good."

"I am impressed with the different apartment layouts they offer for senior living. The interior of the building is very clean and staff are very caring. I would recommend River Run for anyone that is interested in Independent or Assisted Living. Tenants are like family."

"My aunt is at Hilltop of Pepper. I have been going there for several years, and I like the place. The times I've been there, I would give them a five because they are friendly, and my aunt's room is beautiful. You can go outside, but you can't get out of there unless you go through the main door; it is a locked place. I have been there when she was eating, and she liked it although I didn't taste it myself. They asked if I'd like to eat, but I didn't have that much time to stay. At one point when I was there, my aunt was in distress because of mouth sores or so, and I didn't know where to find the staff person because it was during lunchtime, and the one that there was the cook, so I mentioned it to the cook, and the cook went and got one of the gals that takes care of that kind of thing. She came and looked at it, and then she went and got some medication, put it on my aunt, and took care of it. "
