The Best Assisted Living Communities in Prentiss County, MS

"We chose Southern Magnolia Golden because of its location. So far, they have been great. My mother is enjoying it. The staff has all been courteous and professional. The food so far has been delicious, she said. They have activities. They do bingo and they do several different activities. They take good care of everything. It is probably about ten minutes from my house. There are a few restaurants close by."

"I will move into Southern Magnolia Iuka, and I like it a lot. It's in a nice tiny town with lots of shopping all on one little street, and two grocery stores. It's got lots of places to eat and it's got a little, tiny Walmart. Southern Magnolia is a tiny facility, so I will get to know the people. And It smells super fresh when you walk in."

"Generations Senior Living was nice and clean. They're close to the mall. We visited and almost moved into it. The administrator was nice, and the rooms were large. I liked what they offered. They were a little expensive, but they're next to the newest facility in town. The only thing I didn't like about it was you had to pay a pretty large deposit down. They said it was a deposit, but it was nonrefundable. I wasn't happy about that. The staff was nice. We didn't eat anything there, but I did talk to some of the other residents and asked them about the food and they said that on some days it was good and some days it wasn't. The rooms were modern."

"The floors at Rosewood Tupelo were dirty. The carpets in the rooms were dirty. I wouldn't put my dog in it. The administrator or whoever usually does it wasn't there. It was just one of the nurses that showed me around. You could tell it was something that she didn't normally do. They were cooking and I could smell the food. It had the whole place stunk up. The dining area didn't look very appealing. The other two places I visited had a real dining table that you could sit at. This one looked like it had metal folding tables in there or something. I didn't see any activities. They didn't say anything to me about activities. They need to do some deep-down cleaning. They also need to update it a little bit. They need to get the carpet out of the patients' rooms. They need to put down some kind of wood or something like that to be cleaned better. It needed a lot of work."

"I have a family member that is a resident of Dogwood, and I visit there often. All the staff members are very caring and have a genuine concern for the residents. The facility is always clean and well maintained. I have visited other similar facilities, and none compare to Dogwood. "

"My mother is in Green Houses at Traceway Retirement Community in Tupelo. She has full-time care. It's a nursing home. They give great care and they look after her. The Green Houses are like a family home. There are only 10 to 12 residents in each home. Everything's nice. They're friendly and they do whatever she needs. They have the kitchen and their own dining table and a living room with the recliners and she has her own room. It's big enough. It's like a standard size room and it has its own bathroom with a shower. Each room has it's own shower, a bathroom and a nice window at the back, cable and the air-conditioner controls. They let you decorate it like you want to."
