"My parents used to be at Liberal Springs. The staff was nice. The apartments were a little bit bigger. It was a bigger facility. They had a larger dining area in its own community. They had a nursing staff. They were good. However, my mom's Alzheimer's was progressing very quickly, and they just felt that they could keep her safe there because it was not a lock down facility if she started wandering. The facility itself was nice. They had more activities. They would take the residents out to the community if they wished. They would take them to the park or to dinner. We were pleased with the facility. It just got to where mom was wander out, and it wasn't safe. They were prepared to help elderly people, but they were not prepared to deal with dementia. "

"I thought Homestead Estates Home Plus was very clean. You could tell that people were keeping it clean. The rooms were on the small side, but what I liked about it is that they allowed the patients to bring in whatever they wanted from home. They could bring in their own drapes, decorations, or furniture, or anything they wanted to do in their room. It wasn't an apartment, but it was a room that they could decorate however they wanted to. And they got their own telephone and their own cable too. The staff who gave me the tour was very kind, very friendly, and very helpful. They seemed very caring, like they cared about their patients. The dining area was a large room with a kitchen area, and they serve them in a home-style setting at a table. We looked at all the rooms that were available to see. They had smaller rooms and larger rooms. Each one came with its own bathroom. It was all renovated, all up to date, and all new. What I liked about it was that it was Christian affiliated, and they said they offer prayer time, and they said prayers daily, which I thought was really good, which no one else seemed to offer. They were very helpful, too. They offered to help in the insurance and things like that. They offered any help they could give that was needed. You could also see that everyone had kept things up clean. The bathroom facilities were new, and they even had a brand-new whirlpool that the patients could go into, which I thought was really nice. They had a whirlpool for therapeutics and for a good bath. The whirlpool is very, very good for your health, for your circulation, and everything."
