The Best Senior Living Communities in Cotter, AR

"It was very nice. My mother-in-law stayed there for almost a month and if she goes back into a facility that would be the one. The staff, the facility itself, just everything was very nice. The help that she received was just what would be expected in an assisted living location. The rapport between her and the staff was very good. She enjoyed the food, it seemed very good. They have a good chef and they varied the meals, they give you a menu that you can select from. They have activities each day. She had a one-bedroom that was big enough for three chairs, a couple of dressers, a full-size bed, and it had a closet space and a bathroom area. "

"I visited a lady who was under hospice care in the Gassville Nursing Center. Overall the facility seemed pretty good. Residents can bring in their own furniture and furnishings. There was a lending library out in the common sitting area near the nursing station, with lots of paperbacks and other books of all types. There were group activities such as games and music scheduled daily (although unfortunately the lady I visited wasn't able to participate because of her condition). Visitors could eat with the residents for $3 and the food was good. The aides came around frequently to the residents' rooms to refresh ice water and do other caregiving tasks. She got a fairly quick response whenever she used her call button, which she did several times while I was there. The only drawbacks which keep me from giving the top rating were that when the resident I was visiting requested a PRN medication, she had to wait over an hour because the RN was making scheduled rounds at the time. It seemed like they could have used an additional person on staff who was qualified to dispense medications. Also there was a somewhat stale odor to the place, although it may be difficult to find a nursing home that doesn't have that. "

"My father is in Twin Lakes Therapy and Living. Things have changed dramatically with him, so they're taking really good care of him, given the situation that he's in. Communication is really good. The staff is great. They're easy to get a hold of, and they answer all my questions. It's very clean. There's a lot of good interaction with the patients. He's in memory care because of his advanced dementia."

"This particular Nursing home seems to genially care about its residents and employees. Unlike many other facilities I have reviewed the people associated with this home are happy and constantly talking about how well they are treated. The residents feel as if they are still at home instead of a nursing facility. From the kitchen crew to the secretary in the main office, there wasn't a single complaint about the so called higher ups attitudes down to the question of do they pay the way they should. All of the employees would comment on how well the new director of nursing was pulling the facility back to an eye catcher with the remodeling of the nursing stations and beautiful paint jobs in all of the rooms. Even though there are still cosmetic issues to solve about the building, they are not short of ideas. I believe that in the next couple months the facility will be even more desirable with all areas from staff to residents to building. All in all, Auburn Hills is wonderfull. "

"The staffing at Care Manor was very nice. They were hands on from what I could see. Everything looked clean, but the building was just very, very old. The walls were darker and dingier. They're also doing some construction on it, so they were very cramped. The gentleman was very nice and answered all our questions. He was very good, and he let us do a later tour."

"My cousin has been at Baxter Retirement since the end of August. It seems that they have activities going on there, but he is not interested in those. The people are extremely caring and very nice, and the place is clean, but the building is a little older. "
