I will move into the Plaza At Highlands Crossing. I chose it because it's close to where I'm living now, so I'm still near the people I know. It's smaller than other senior communities. The upkeep of the whole facility has been phenomenal. They've been very friendly and very helpful.

The Plaza at Highlands Crossing is located in the quaint city of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Situated in the scenic Ozark Mountain range, Bella Vista offers seniors a variety of choices for cultural and recreational venues nearby, including the Bella Vista History Museum and the Tanyard Creek Nature Trail. The Plaza at Highlands Crossing is an independent living complex for adults 55 and over. One- and two-bedroom suites are available in multiple floor plans. Each unit is cable TV ready, and all utilities are included in the monthly maintenance fee. An office manager and maintenance manager are on-site to oversee the daily maintenance and operation of the facility. The Plaza at Highlands Crossing offers numerous social activities for residents. A social hour every Thursday gives residents a chance to mingle and socialize with neighbors. Pot luck dinners are a regular occurrence, and movie nights and coffee and donut events are planned monthly. A variety of card games, bingo, mah-jongg and horseshoes are other activities that are favorites among residents.

The Plaza At Highlands Crossing is a beautiful community. The buildings are nice. There's a variety of different apartments. The only thing is that they don't provide regular meals. I think they have a Sunday meal and that's it. Most of the staff are volunteers that live there, so they're congenial. They have a full kitchen in each apartment. You do most of your own cooking there. They have a library. There are three different wings, so around each wing, there's green space and trees.
