My mother was a patient there for two weeks. She was never once given a sponge bath shower. I gave her the showers and sponge baths, even after it was brought to the attention of the Director of Nursing and property manager. I was given a shower log which showed she had received both sponge bath and shower several times, which was totally false. I brought it to the attention of the Director and told him that was fraudulant. I was there all day every day she was there and I would see a nurse in her room, maybe once a day. PT was not the best, it seemed they concentrated on how far she would walk. When they would push her to go further, she would get back to her room and literally collapse on the bed and not be able to do anything the rest of the day from being exhausted. How does that help? It doesn't! She is on a low fat, low sodium fluid restricted diet, however, it was never monitored and she was given the same high fat food everyone else received. When requesting anything different, she would receive a small bowl of something and that was it. The level of care was truly the worst. She would push the button for help and sometimes it was as long as 45 minutes before someone would come in. Then they would leave her sitting on the toilet for about as long before they would come back in to help her. One night I literally called the facility 4 different times with no answer, finally someone answered and said they would go help her. I would never recommend this facility to anyone as I don't want them to experience what we did. One positive note is that the facility was very nice and clean. It's a shame the level of care is so poor.

My aunt is at Fountain Hills Post Acute. It's a beautiful place with a beautiful view. They were nice people. We like it. They have different kinds of foods and different activities. The insurance is paying for it.
