"Our family member is living in a large single room floorplan which afforded her plenty of room for comfortable furnishings to make her feel right at home. She has a lovely view of the outdoor pool and the golf course. What makes VW the best living option is their caring staff. They go out of their way to provide any necessary assistance to the residents in a professional & friendly manner. Covid19 has changed the daily routine for the residents but the staff has come up with creative ways to keep them engaged. Although they look forward to things going back to normal, we are grateful for the procedures put in place to safeguard the residents. The main dining room, the bus outings, & communal activities have been put on hold for now but it's the reality of these times."

"This day center is clean, free of normal nursing home smells, and the staff is friendly and outgoing. They keep the clients busy all day long with tons of activities and even outings. It is the best place by far that my aunt has attended. She is able to get out during the day and hang out with her friends. It is so good for her spirit. I would recommend Addus to anyone. "

"Active Day of Merrillville is a great place for your loved ones to attend while you work, run errands or just get a little me time. The staff is great from the drivers to the director (Maria) and everyone else in between. They have breakfast & lunch as well as snacks. The crafts & activities are great for physical therapy & cognitive therapy as well as just darn creative & fun. If you are considering Adult Day Services for your loved one, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. My mom has been there for years & I truly believe without it she would have deteriorated & not be where she is today cognitively. "

"I ended up putting my mother at the Seniors Club and she now goes there a couple of days a week. It's a reasonable cost, the people there are very caring and loving, and they deal only with Alzheimer's patients. At this point, she doesn't need full-time care; she needs to get out with people. She gets assistance with using the washroom and the feeding. She is still self-sufficient, but just needs to be re-directed at times and she doesn't need much of anything other than that. The people who work there have been working there for almost ten years. They have always been willing to listen and they are concerned about whatever I have to say or even what my mother has to say. They don't dismiss patients and they sure interact with the different patients. I really can't think of anything that they still need to improve at all. "
