"I can't say enough how wonderful the staff is at Alden Poplar Creek. Mom tells me everything that goes on and she only has great things to say. They know her and care about her like family do. I looked at a lot of places before deciding on Poplar Creek, many of them looked prettier, but there's no smell and you can tell that the residents there are happy the minute you walk in. The nurses keep us well informed and if there's ever a concern it's very easy to get in touch with the administrator or head nurse, even on the weekends. So glad we found this place. "

"I went to Stonebridge Senior Home Care yesterday. I kind of like that. They had no problem with my mom bringing her dog, which is nice. They seemed a lot more flexible for whatever. Right now, my mom doesn't require high level, but it seemed more than adequate, and it was nice. It was more like she would be like a roommate with all the residents there as supposed to be an institution, which I like. It all looked pretty new. They're not licensed yet, and they're missing some furniture. It seemed like they haven't been opened that long. They can only have two or three residents right now because they're not licensed. Everything looked nice and new, but I went to the bathroom, and I looked out the bathroom window, and in the back, paint was peeling, so it looked like they need to do the back. They got whatever people covered, but I think they have some more work to do. That's not a big deal. It was just the owner and her mother is all I saw, and they seemed to be OK. There were only one or two residents there and the owner and her mother and nobody were wearing masks."

"The House of Welcome is a wonderful day care. I feel 100% comfortable having my husband left to their care. HOW's staff makes every participant in the program welcome and the participants want to come back. Even some one who doesn't want to go to the program, eventually they too want to be at the HOW. My husband started going to HOW two days per week. Right now he is asking isn't he suppose to be at the HOW every day of the week. It is the best respite one can get and at the same time know you will be your love one later in the afternoon. "

"A Day in Time has given my husband the socialability that he needs and I can't give. The director (Cindy Lester) pours her whole heart into her program. She provides respite for other county programs and has recently started a support group and runs two memory building classes for adults. She visits her clients at home or hospital if they are sick. Funding is needed for every possible thing including crafts, food, field trips, etc. This program is 100% interactive, not babysitting. She provides the stimulus her clients need as well as a deserving respite for the caregivers. "
