We had home help, and the nurse came once a week to take my mom's blood pressure and check on her. We surely would recommend McLeod Home Health. I was like the caregiver, and we called in each morning before my mom took her medicine. I took her temperature and her blood pressure, put little comments about how she was doing and all, and I would call that in. They'd take it back to the nurse each day that I did it, and then she would come on Thursday or Friday and go over with mom about normally how she was doing. They just kept a close check on her once a week, and if I had any problem like if her blood pressure went up, I had a number to call. They had a social worker, a physical therapy person, and two or three other people coming in. And within just a couple of weeks, mom was a lot stronger, so we did not need any of them and it was just the nurse coming in. My mom thought the world of the nurse that we had. Her name was Lisa, and she was just great. She was just a caring, down to earth person. We just didn't think of her as a nurse; it was a friend coming in. That's how her personality was, so we got along very good with her. And anything that we needed or questions we needed answered, she always had the answer to give us or what to do if we were having a problem or whatever. She was just a wonderful person, and you don't come across many nurses like that in this day and time.
