We used SouthernCare - Uniontown for my mom while we were in a senior facility. Those group of nurses were wonderful. They were very caring people. I met with a member from the hospice, and they explained everything to me basically on how it works and if you accept their services. Within the day, they had a hospital bed there for my mom. They had a walker available, they provided the Geri chair and they also provided a wheelchair. They also provided all of the disposable panties. My mom was in not really diapers, but they were like pull-up panties, and then eventually she was in the diaper. But they provided all of those. It was amazing what hospice services provide that I had no idea. I was prepared to pay the price for a hospital bed and all that type of thing, and I didn't have to do any of that. A bedside table was another thing that they brought in. It truly was very, very nice. Their communication skills were excellent. They didn't tell me pretentious information or anything like that. They were upfront and honest about how to handle my mom. I pretty much had communication with two of the nurses.
