I cannot say enough wonderful things about the nurses, aides and chaplain of Vitas Hospice! They are so caring and supportive! I lost my Mom 2 weeks ago at a Senior Living Residence! It meant the world to have them there! Her life mattered because of them and made her passing bearable! I highly recommend them!! Thank you so much!!

We’ve been using VITAS Healthcare about 2 1/2 weeks. I think they’re very good. They seem to be all about the care, comfort, and well-being of the patient, very tuned in to elderly people. I had some wonderful, very touching, heart-to-heart conversations with their social worker. It wasn’t until they came in that I felt my husband was getting a little bit more of the attention he needed. I can’t complain, other than the fact that they should have seen that he was going to fall out of that wheelchair too.

My wife is now on hospice care. We have VITAS Hospice. I chose them because they have a good name for themselves and a good reputation. They take really good care of my wife. Their care and service is excellent. The first day we went onboard, they brought her oxygen, a hospital bed, a wheelchair, cushions, diapers, gloves, cream for her rectum, and all the prescriptions they handle. They do everything. The staff's work ethic is perfect. They're great people and never in a rush. The caregiver is excellent. She comes and bathes my wife every day. She will also do dusting and vacuuming. Once a week, they send a registered nurse out to check on Mary. They take care of everything. Regarding management, they keep their promises. They come when they say they're going to come. They call and make sure everything is all right. Just about every day, they call and ask what we need, how Mary is, and if there is anything else that we need. We have been with them for about a month now. I would recommend them. In fact, I already have recommended them.

I cannot say enough how wonderful the hospice aide, nurses, social worker, and chaplain were! My father just recently passed, and everyone he and our family came in contact with were just amazing. His final night (we thought would be a little bit more than one night), we were provided with crisis care. The nurse was amazing, and calm, and helped not only my dad to pass peacefully, but comforted us as well. I cannot say enough about this service. Thank you.

In 2010, my mother in law was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was transferred to this facility to spend her final days. The level of care provided by their staff was one to rave about. They were amazing with her, so much that she actually improved and was sent home for another two months. Their care and attention helped us enjoy her a little longer. When she was transferred back, and passed they were so helpful with her arrangements, we couldn't have asked for a better place. Our experience there is definitely one we will never forget. Our family will be forever grateful for the piece of mind we were able to have, while she was in their care.

This organization of professionals from the nurses, aides, home health aides, chaplain, were wonderful caring individuals that helped not only the patient, my mother; but her grown children. The level of professionalism was as equal as their unwaivering care. It was a wonderful experience that helped the entire family.
