We're using Visiting Nurse Association Health Services for my mother. They're doing bathing, laundry, washing dishes, and fixing her dinner. They will help with medications, but she doesn't take medications.

We employed this agency to assist with elder care for a parent with Alzheimers & Parkinson's disease. employing help twice a week in 4 hour increments. The agency cancelled our third scheduled day of help as the healthcare aid had scheduled a doctor's appointment and was going to be unable to care for my father, giving us 24 hour notice and no additional solutions of another aid or help later the same day. When we called back to inquire, we were advised there were no other options available to us on that day, and then hung up on us without further discussion. We were only inquiring. They were unprofessional and unreliable at a time of need. We will no longer employ their services and were a bit disheartened as they are affiliated with Hospice which has a stellar reputation.
