Some of the caregivers need to interact more with my dad and get him up, moving around, or talking to him instead of just sitting on theirs phones. The one great caregiver we have though helps a lot with getting him to do stuff like his hygiene and medicine. They could improve the communication a bit, as sometimes they didn't inform us about things, and we have one caregiver who is absolutely fantastic, but the others could use a bit of work before I'd completely recommend them.

Having the agency around means that everything gets done around here without any complaints. She even smiles when she is asked to shower me. That is nice. The agency does a good job sending out caregivers that are excellent and always on time.

My mother requires a lot of attention, and I'm not there to do it, and neither is my brother. It's made a big impact on us. It's made an impact on my mom too and her depression. The two main caregivers make the most impact. I like that the owners respond to my texts and calls right away. They give it attention. Sue has made some personal visits to my mother's place to talk to her and the aides. I like the personal touch. They really seem to care and I like that. A huge agency wouldn't get that attention to detail.
