Both the nurse and the aide assigned to my dad were so patient and caring despite his struggle with Alzheimer's. The nurse was so kind and knowledgable, and provided us great comfort in this difficult time. She would even sit and hold his hand when he was anxious and panicky. Thank you Heartland!

About Heartland Hospice Care in Beltsville, Maryland
The misson of Heartland Hospice is to provide quality hospice care to patients with a limited life expectancy, as well as, support their caregivers. The quality of life for those we serve through palliative and specialized supportive care designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, social and spiritual needs of the patients and caregivers. Hospice service is provided wherever the patient calls home. Our hospice team of physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, spiritual care coordinators, bereavement counselor, volunteer coordinator and volunteers work collaboratively to meet individualized patient and family needs. Our team also collaborates with extended care facilities, facilitating the best care possible for our patients who reside in extended care facilites.

The people seemed nice, although I never met them. My husband didn't made it home from the hospital, so all the equipment sat unused and I couldn't get them to pick it up. It took up a lot of space, and I told them that having it there was distressing. After a week, I finally broke everything down, loaded our truck, and returned it myself.

We chose Heartland Hospice to assist with fathers care and it was a terrible mistake. The staff were not compassionate, and were difficult to reach. Heartland made a devasting experience even more awful. There are wonderful hospice workers out there—-stay away from Heartland!

The staff of Heartland hospice care was caring and they were really wonderful.The facility itself was very nice.
