"We tried Amada Senior Care Roxbury, but it didn't work out. The way they introduced themselves, their company, and their nursing evaluation was all good. The only drawback I found was that there wasn't an introduction for the aide to meet my parents. It was a short period of time, but my parents never really felt comfortable with the person because it was kind of like they walked in and started working as opposed to having a meet-and-greet kind of thing. However, the staff explained that they don't do that. Part of the problem, too, is the generation my parents are in. They weren't really accepting of an outside person, so it was hard for them to be comfortable with the person. It caused a lot of stress for them, so it really didn't pan out the way I was hoping it would. There wasn't enough time to develop any kind of working relationship with them. The caregiver provided no service to my mom, but that was because my mother went to bed. The caregiver was more of a companion, and no other services were provided to them."
