I am pleased to recommend Bright Star and our caregiver, Breanna, to everyone. I have been searching for a caregiver like Breanna for many weeks and am so happy that she was chosen for us. Breanna is the nicest young lady, sweet and gentle and well trained in the things she is asked to do. I am especially pleased that she is a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); this gives me a great deal of confidence that she can be trusted and knows what she is to do regarding basic patient care. My husband (the patient) is quite happy with her and she makes him smile a lot. I am grateful for this; it has been a long time since he has not cringed when his caregiver came near. I am also grateful for Breanna's willingness to learn new things and for the fact that she is not afraid to ask me questions. She is looking forward to nursing school in the near future and I am certain that Breanna is going to make a very good nurse one day. I have a dear friend who is a nurse and she and Breanna had a long conversation the other day; my friend agrees that Breanna is going to do well when she becomes an RN. Finding Bright Star and Breanna was a wonderful gift for Bill and me. Thank you very sincerely, Mary Gillmore You might add that Breanna is also loved by my dogs. It is good companionship and another pair of eyeballs. It was giving peace of mind for my brother and I that she comes 3 times a week. My sister in law said that there was a time where they went to the house and there was not much food, which is strange because the caregiver should have made sure there is enough. My sister in law can be a little critical, but it only happened once.

There wouldn't be anything that I would recommend one way or another. I would like to see a little more reliability because we had one person who wasn't able to make it last minute, and they weren't able to send someone else until hours later.

The person that they were able to find for us and send to our house does their thing and is helpful. They were able to connect us to the person who is now caring for my loved. They are a really good fit and do a good job. It took a few times to find the right fit, we went through a fair amount of people, and it was frustrating at the beginning to train them because some of them were not very experienced, even though they were lovely people. The current one is a self starter and hops in and knows what to do. We ended up with someone that we are very happy with.

My loved one wasn't able to sit down and heal because the caregiver wasn't useful at all. For the hours that the caregiver was awake and not napping, they were helpful. Mainly just having someone there for my loved one to interact with was really what they were helpful with. My main issue has been that the requests that I've asked for were ignored and that the replacement would take naps and would not be helpful for my loved one.

Based on the work of my workers it is great, but I have been taken aback by the new manager that works there. I have had to change some things after the management had changed at BrightStar Care. They won't run errands for me anymore. But the caregiver is very kind and caring, and makes sure that my oxygen is on, and that I take my medication on time. She is good at telling me. She is really a loss when she is not here.
