My father has been using Victorian Home Care - Monterey for almost two weeks now. They follow through, are not too pushy, are very kind, and are always nice. The agency is great. Communication with them is wonderful. I'm happy about their pricing.

Victorian Home Care is definitely dependable. They are empathetic, and they try their best to meet all my needs for my sister. The care providers that we got have been very good. All I ask is to keep my sister happy and healthy and to make sure that her daily assisted needs are provided, and they do a really good job in all of that. The staff at the office is good, too. They call me back when I need to hear from them to make some schedule adjustment changes. So far, all the employees feel comfortable in my house, and the caregivers are very sweet and happy with my sister, so it works out really well. We're very happy to have the service provided by them. They provide respite care. They help my sister with her ADLs. Right now, they're helping get her up in the morning. Today, we had an outing, and the caregiver is here with my sister as a companion. We're out at the dog park and we're just talking to all the dogs coming up to us and petting them, and the caregiver is interacting with my sister and showing the different dogs and laughing and singing and making a good time. So, those are just really uplifting and happy moments.

Victorian’s caregivers have helped care for my mother in her home since August 2022. They provide good companionship, prepare delicious and nutritious meals, take care of making the bed, doing laundry and light housekeeping so that Mom does not have to, and they do so to her satisfaction. Victorian is a reliable agency: if a regularly scheduled caregiver is unable to make her shift, we are notified and a replacement will come. We are very pleased with their service, my mother likes all of Victorian’s caregivers and my sister and I are relieved to know that Mom is being well looked-after.

The caregivers from Victorian were extremely kind and compassionate. All were skilled and very knowledgeable. All were well trained, competent, and so patient and helpful in handling a couple of difficult situations. They understood how to work with my husband and respect his wishes. Victorian worked with me in scheduling 3 caregivers whose personalities meshed well with my husband’s. This was so very important to me. I would unhesitatingly recommend Victorian Home Care to others.

Victorian Home Care has been great. The first caregiver that they tried to match my father with wasn't a good personality fit, but they had no problem switching or trying somebody new. They were really OK with the fact that it was not the person. It was nothing against the first person, it was just a personality clash and they switched it out. They were super nice about it. They're really easy to work with. They also didn't make me feel bad about asking questions. The help they provide is with activities of daily living, showering, dressing, and helping my dad with food and with eating. We currently have two aides, and they are absolutely wonderful. They're so good at helping my dad and helping him want to do activities because sometimes as seniors, they don't want to. They are just super positive, outgoing, lovely people.

We've been using Victorian Home Care - Monterey for about a year now. Their caregivers are very responsible and professional. My mother likes them, so that's pretty huge. At present, we have five four-hour shifts a week with them. They do meal prep and medication reminders. I fill the pill box and they check to see that she's taking the pills. They provide companionship and light housekeeping. They change the sheets and do her laundry for her. What I would like to get is the invoices without having to call and ask for them. My mother has some long-term care insurance, and I need to submit the invoice and the daily log notes. I need them to provide me with the invoice and although they pull the amount due from my mom's bank account, I don't automatically get the invoice. More often than not, I have to call and ask for them. They help my mother exercise. My mother has a physical therapist who comes twice a week, but she's not inclined to do the exercises on her own, so they will do them with her. They'll walk her up and down the hallway, and they try to encourage her to eat more and drink water and do her exercises.

I would like other families to know that we have had nothing but outstanding interactions with the caregivers and staff at Victorian Home Care. One thing I would like for them to work on is communication and responding in a timely manner. The only issue we have encountered is regarding the charting sheets. To be specific, when we run out, we notify Victorian and they do not drop them off promptly. They tend to be unresponsive at times, I would like for them to work on that. I would like to add that the relationship we have with the caregivers has been positive. We have grown a close bond with Estephanie and want to say she has always provided exceptional care.

I would like office staff from Victorian to work on better communication. Caregivers do a wonderful job at keeping me up to date with my mothers care. If any changes arise they are great at communicating that with me. Estephanie has a contagious smile that I look forward to seeing when she comes to work. She goes above and beyond by asking lots of questions regarding how she can be a better caregiver specific to my mom. Which tells me when she’s here she gives it 300% present of herself. Overall, Victorian has helped us in our time of need like no other.

I have been using Victorian Home Care for three years now. It's done through the VA, and it's for my partner. Everybody has been extremely friendly and responsive. They've addressed any issues I have immediately. Over the years, I've had a number of caregivers and some of them worked out and some of them didn't work out. When they didn't work out, that's when I contacted the provider and worked with them on finding another person. I've had my current caregiver for less than three months now, and so far, he is working out really well. He's responsive, and he shows up every time. One of the problems I had with some of the caregivers is they didn't show up. My current caregiver always shows up. He's very courteous, and he's not intrusive with our home, yet he's always responsive to our needs. He does a variety of things. His main focus is, of course, the client, who is my partner, so he is always figuring out if there's anything he can do. He is always stepping up when my partner needs help, and he always makes him the priority, which is what I would want in the house. He does personal care for my partner, and he also does some light housekeeping. He also occasionally makes a light lunch like a sandwich or something like that. Like everything else, there are issues and problems, but what I've always liked about them is they've always stepped up. To me, nothing's perfect, but if somebody makes good or addresses issues, I'm happy with that.

I have used Victorian Home Care a couple of times, and most recently, since my husband is now on hospice, they have provided me with a single caregiver that comes twice a week, six hours a day, and he has been really good. He is a very thoughtful and kind type of person. He actually will text me if something's not going right with my husband because he has episodes where he gets really angry. Since they put my husband on hospice, he doesn't take all his medications anymore. He only takes the medications that the hospice people provided, and it's supposed to help calm him down, and it does. My husband can be kind of an angry person, and the caregiver has been working with me. I told him basically, if he's in a mood like that, to just leave him alone. So, he has been great. My husband has gotten so weak that I'm not feeling comfortable trying to give him a shower anymore because it's hard to get him in and out of the tub. The caregiver took it upon himself and said, 'Is it alright if I give him a shower because he wants a shower?' And I said, 'If you feel comfortable with it and if he trusts you, yeah, sure, go for it.' He was able to get him in and out of the shower, so that was really great because he hadn't had a shower in months, and now he looks forward to that. Victorian Home Care is good because they're sending the same person every time. My husband's memory isn't all that great, and so the fact that they're sending the same individual consistently each week is good for him. It's easier for him to remember who he is instead of somebody new each time. The caregiver is just a great caring guy. He cleans my husband up. My husband wants him to give him a haircut and I said, 'If he says he wants you to do it, then go for it.' He also tidies up the house and empties all the trashes. He is just really great because it takes a little bit of a load off of me because I'm a 24/7 caregiver basically. I take care of my husband for all the hours outside of the 12 hours that I get help with, so every little thing that he does is actually really nice. We got a brand new kitten and the caregiver tries to play with the kitty, and he cleans the litter box out for me. He just does a lot of very thoughtful things. When I'm too busy doing things for my husband, sometimes I leave dirty dishes in the sink, and the caregiver will just come in and he cleans everything. If my husband wants something to eat, he'll make him something to eat. The caregiver is really good, and if he's not sure about doing something, he always texts me and asks if it's OK. He has been really, really awesome.

I have used Victorian Homecare. It's for my brother. He passed but he was 68. The overall experience was great for me. Upon filling out the application and going over the paperwork and the requirements for the intake, that was really good. The supervisor literally was at my brother's home as we were going through the questions and given her the answers. As he was going through some of the challenges, the different things that were happening, Victorian Homecare would document it, and I was made aware of it. Basically, my brother was pretty much independent, but at the time, he had fallen and broken his wrist, so he needed help in order to bathe, put his clothes on and do light housekeeping, and that's what was performed for him. The caregiver appeared to be very attentive. She did what she said to do besides what the light housekeeping chores were. He said that he really liked her.

I have been using Victorian Home Care for six months now. They're fantastic. It's a 100%. Before, I was having difficulty getting anything done and staying properly taken care of. I needed this service, and the VA came through. It has brightened my life tremendously. My caregiver comes in twice a week, three hours per time, a total of six hours, and she checks on me. She checks my medication, she talks with me about general things and about how things are going, she helps me with my shower, she helps me with my cooking in my kitchen, and she verifies that things are in place. She is very upbeat, very mature, and she likes to talk about things that we're both interested in. She's energetic and positive. She is very flexible, although very timely. She has a routine, and she keeps it. The staff at the agency are very polite, upbeat, and positive, too.

My father has been using Victorian Home Care for five months now. I love them. I'm so grateful for their service. They have provided such care for my father, and it's a big relief as a daughter who doesn't live in the same city knowing that they're very communicative and they take the time to find the right fit and follow up. So far, I'm really, really grateful. If a certain caretaker can't make it, they call me. Actually, I haven't received any particular updates about him, but with the care that they've provided, my father is very happy with the people. My father has two caregivers and they come three times a week. When he showers, they're on standby, and they help him take walks. I understand they do stretching, and because he gets lonely, it's nice for him to have company. They're caring and definitely helpful. The staff are very conscientious, and they follow through. They're open to feedback, and they're kind. I'm very happy; they're really wonderful. You can trust that your loved one is in good care. I met one caretaker, and she was really lovely, and it provided a relief for the family members. I highly recommend them.

We have Victorian Home Care for my husband. They're very good. They communicate well. They respond quickly when I ask for a change of schedule. If there's anything going on, like someone's going to be late or there's going to be a switch, they let me know right away. I'm very pleased with them. I have had a couple of caregivers from them, and I've been pleased with all of them. I have mainly one and then occasionally another one, but they've all been very good. They're very trainable, usually punctual and responsible. They help me with transferring my husband from a hospital bed to a wheelchair to bed to commode, which is huge. They also help him with meals, drinks, and giving meds. They help getting him ready for bed, and end of days activities. I found them through the VA, so the VA is actually paying the bills for this, but I was pleased that they were reasonable and easy to work with. I appreciate the fact that they set a more conservative budget.

I have been using Victorian Home Care for a couple of years now. It's been very good. They were always punctual no matter who would come out. They're professional and they're very concerned about my welfare. They help me change my linen, and they do light house cleaning and light cooking. I get prep meals, and they stick it in the microwave for me. They were very much all-around caring.

I have been with Victorian Home Care for five months now. They're for my father. They basically help with hygiene, showering needs, making his beds, preparing a light meal, and dressing him. There's Desiree on Saturday and there's Jaylene on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They're both great. They are very thorough, they come on time, they leave on time, they are helpful and they ask what else they can do. They don't like downtime, so they keep themselves busy. They would take my dad's laundry out of the dryer, fold them, put them in the linen closet and change the beddings. We go through the Veteran's Administration, so there's no billing. They're very flexible with scheduling. Like if we're not going to be back from a doctor's appointment until 30 minutes after they're supposed to be there, so there's a time difference, and they're very good about that. We just try to keep in the loop of what's happening if any changes need to happen.

I think initially, Victorian Home's care plan was very well put together. Over time checking in on their care plan and modifying it, maybe not the highest touch but definitely crafting the initial plan was great and implementing it was great. I think overall, the caregiver's work ethic has been very good. There's generally a couple of bad apples in a bunch, but Victorian themselves has been good at identifying these caregivers or at least listening to our concerns about those caregivers, and removing them and replacing them with someone who has a much better work ethic and handles my dad's care much better. Their communication has been really good. There has been a couple of times where either a caregiver hasn't reached out to them about missing a shift or being late. In that case, it's not Victorian Home Care's fault that there's not great communication, it's the caregiver's fault, and it has been an issue a couple of times. We've been with Victorian for almost 2 years now, and that's not something that you can completely do away with. Normally, their communication is really good except on those cases.

Victorian Home Care cared for my friend for the last 3 years. It was absolutely a good match. Their plan of care is more than adequate and it was above and beyond sometimes. I really appreciate their time to work with my friend and took good care of him right to the very end. They would come in and sit with him, give him breakfast, lunch, dinner whoever their care worker happened to be. They would sponge bath or bathe him and help him dress. They would make phone calls for him, write notes for him, because he was legally blind. At times they even pick up stuff from the store for him. I like that the case worker was always willing to work with my friend and I, as well as the caregivers on the job. If they needed to call me, they would call me or they'd pass information along. They would also take notes on what to look out for, they would call me if he fell or he wasn't eating, then I would get on the phone and talk to him. I was very super satisfied with the services they provided. They were very flexible and agreeable.

We have been using Victorian Home Care for five months now. They're helping me out with my husband who has Parkinson's disease and dementia, and they're wonderful. They have a journal that they keep, they come in and they go up to see John and they go 'What's going on?" They feed him, they bathe him, they dress him, they clean where areas need to be cleaned, they entertain him, and they try to take him on walks. They provide him with friendship, and I think he likes them now. The agency always call like me if somebody is going to be late or somebody can't make it today, so it's like we're an open book to each other. I've had an experience with one other home care agency and then Covid kicked in, so when I finally got comfortable getting home care, the VA suggested these guys, and it's like night and day. They're organized, they're careful, and they're caring. I attribute that to the agency itself, not the individual caregivers, but the actual agency as they got it together. My favorite caregiver is going to be in Arizona for three or four months, then they talked to me and said they got me my next favorite caregiver and we worked it out. We were all talking about it and it's great. They're so clear that I don't have to wonder, and the caregivers are all on the same page, too.

Victorian Home Care is good. They helped me with preparing lunch and care for my husband who was not very ambulatory. My husband passed away Christmas Eve. The experience I had with Victorian Care was positive. The agency tried to match the need and find the right fit. They were responsive if I had any concerns and it had been pretty good. However, there's still room for improvement.

I have been with Victorian Home Care for less than a half a year. The person that is my provider or my helper, she is fantastic and I really like her. I know I'm going to have her until Christmas, but she is going to go back and do more college. I think she wants to become a doctor. I have her for another two months, and I'm really happy for that. It's a blessing. I like Victorian Home Care. I can't bend very much. I can't squat or walk on any slippery thing, I've had 44 surgeries and going in for my 45th soon and that just since when I was 18 and I got hurt in the army. When I got in a car accident, it changed my whole life because I have severe arthritis in that leg where I got hurt. It is frustrating because this is not like me to just sit in a recliner with my leg propped above my heart because there's just so much I can do to relax and it just drives me crazy. My caregiver comes and she clocks in with my phone. She is very conscientious about her job. She makes sure when you want to be showered and when you want your leg and back rub. As soon as we are done with the shower, she puts deep heat type rub stuff on my knee and lower part of my leg where it's a mess, and that helps. Sometimes I get cold from the IcyHot stuff because it is like ice and then it's hot, so she helps me with the bath. Sometimes she has to get me extra underwear because one of my surgeries was a bladder reconstruction and so sometimes if I'm coughing because I have asthma, I sense a leak. She is already ahead of me knowing what I need because we have been with each other for a few months now. I know she knows what is necessary to be functional. She is very gentle, she is not bossy, and she is not talking down to anybody, and that makes it so much easier. So I have a bladder problem and I have a bunch of things that I'm struggling with. I have sciatica, I have problems with my neck and my lower back, and I've had tons of surgeries on my feet and the nerve roots, it turned out to be a mess, and it's one thing after another. The people are very conscientious, very thoughtful, and very caring. Before I got Victorian Home Care, I didn't feel like I was strong enough to take on going home after such a huge surgery as this is. They had set up for me to go to an old folks' home in Monterey and I was like 'no.' Once I saw it everybody was in wheelchairs in the hallway and nobody was talking, and some people were talking to themselves, and it scared me really bad. I appreciate Victorian Home Care coming to my house and letting me be independent still, which is huge.

The service that the caregivers from Victorian Health Care provided to Dad in his declining years was excellent. My family was very fortunate to have found a company with people who are both professional and compassionate. The company worked diligently to schedule caregivers with whom my dad and mom were comfortable with in their home. The caregivers provided Dad with the gentle and energetic care that was necessary to sustain Dad's health, safety, and quality of life. The family is very thankful for their compassionate service.

Victorian Home Care was good. There were some care providers that were better than others, but there was one caregiver that I loved. She was awesome, awesome, awesome. We absolutely loved her. They provided services by helping my uncle with bathing and with cutting his nails. They help brush his hair, wash him up, feed him, take him out to go outside, and change his diaper. We used Victorian Home Care for two-and-a-half months. They were very reliable and responsive. I had changes all the time because my uncle had doctor's appointments and they always were able to change the schedule.

We used Victorian Home Care for my dad. It was a very positive experience. The people that they sent for the most part were outstanding, especially Amy. We were very satisfied. They kept me informed, and they gave very good care. They provided my dad 24-hour care. First of all, they took care of my mom but she passed away. They cooked and did light housekeeping, they made sure my parents were bathed and well fed, and they took them to doctor's office visits. When she passed, they took care of everything for my dad. It was very satisfactory.

We used Victorian Home Care from the beginning of February until April. We had a wonderful experience. We had an excellent caregiver. Mainly, we just asked that she be a companion to my mother-in-law who had Alzheimer's/dementia, i.e., just sit with her and communicate with her, make sure she is using the restroom, getting her cleaned and feeding her. We were very comfortable with the caregiver. She was very good with my mother-in-law. There was a good connection.

I have been using Victorian Home Care for my husband for about a month now. They're professional and the office staff members are easy to reach. I only have one caregiver, and he is a lovely man who brings a lot of joy to my husband. He is very optimistic, very skilled and he is conscientious. My husband is a little bit different as he is not old; he is young. Well, the caregiver helps him go to the bathroom, he helps him with his hobbies, and he will take him out to the garden. I'm very comfortable with him.

We used Victorian Home Care for 2 weeks. They had some very nice people. However, it was very difficult for me because I had to find something for them to do. When they came at 8 a.m., I already had my breakfast. They left at noon, I made my own lunch around 12:30, and then they came 3 p.m. to 7 pm.. I tried to get them to switch my hours maybe 7-11 or 8-12, but they said that wasn't their normal schedule. I actually found one of their people that would be happy to do those hours, but they weren't too flexible from that standpoint. The people were very nice and were helpful, but there wasn't anything for them to do other than sit there and do their cellphones. I really had to stretch to find something for them to do. I think the girls would be comfortable knowing what they should be doing. I gave them plenty of breaks if they were helping me out doing something, and they were appreciative of that.

Victorian Homecare was good. We used them for two weeks. We really liked the two ladies that they sent out. They were both excellent and we liked to have them all the time. The services were good, too. Everything about what they did was more than we could ask for. It was excellent. It was for my daughter, who is almost 61 years old. They assisted us with her dinner, they sat with her and they took care of her individual needs and if she needed to go to the bathroom, they went with her and took care of that. But it was only in the afternoon, so she didn't have too much of that.

We have been using Victorian Home Care for about a year now for my father. They're pretty positive and willing to help out with whatever we need. They're really concerned about Dad's welfare. It has been good. They bathe him. If I take off to the grocery store, they feed him. They assist him with going to the bathroom. It is just general welfare for him during the day. He has started to get to know them, so he is doing OK. There are times that he tends to forget and gets confused, but overall he is OK.

I have been using Victorian Home Care for about six months now. I'm happy with them. They send me caregivers three times a week. They are sending two of their veterans. They give me a bed bath because I can't get into the shower because I'm still debilitated, wash my hair, bathe my feet and they do cooking for me. Sometimes, they talk with me because I don't have too many people talking to me and sometimes they do light house work like dusting. I'm very comfortable with them.

Karen has been wonderful! She knows how to do all the tasks my father needs, which allows me to do what I need to do away from the house. We have gone through many caregivers and can confidently say that she is our #1!

My caregiver, Christina, always thinks ahead to help me out. For example, she helps prepare my breakfast for the following day, even if it's a day she isn't with me.

Victorian Home Care has been so understanding, accommodating, and flexible with my mother's changing needs. I am so grateful. PCA Kristina has gone above and beyond caring for my mother making sure to manicure her hands and doing her hair.

It feels like I have known most of my caregivers a lot longer than I have. Mariah in particular, as one of my main caregivers has been a tremendous help!

We just really appreciate our caregiver, Marisa. She works with my mom in the memory care unit and does art projects, reads to her and feeds her. It has made a big difference in her life.
