Burr Oak Manor, Inc. was completely outdated. There was no upkeep. They wanted a lot more money for the care that would be given to my dad. The rooms were very tiny. They had one bathroom in the whole place, like a shower facility. It was not a closed shower. It was an open shower with no privacy. Another thing I didn't like about the place was it was a locked down facility. It just seemed like you were in a prison. I did not care for the place, and I would not recommend it to anybody that I know.

My husband is in Burr Oak Manor. It's a smaller and older facility, but I like the personnel. It's close to where I live and he will be able to get his physical therapy and the nursing care he needs there. They have some activities. On a nice day, they go outside with supervision, but they aren't taking them on bus trips right now. All activities take place in the main hall of the facility. He has not complained about the food.

Emplyees are rude and non communicative, Facility is run down, and not conducive for elderly, very depressing environment.

Burr Oak Manor, Inc. is nice and small. It seems like you get more attention from the people there. The staff has been very helpful. They bring people in to do magic shows and play cards. Mom thinks the food is really good.

I chose Burr Oak because of the location, the price, and the staff. The staff does a very good job. She is in a private room, so that is great. The activities are great too. They have bible studies, entertainers come in, puzzles, large motor skills activity, and outings as well.

We looked at two facilities and one of them is Burr Oak Manor and it was a nice facility. It had a good recommendation so we chose this place for my dad. The staff seemed very fine and very cheerful. The room was old and small, but it was clean and the personnel were nice. My dad was there for less than a month and then he passed away so I didn’t see much activity.
