My mom has moved into Twin Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care. I was impressed with the place. I feel like it's a good size. Memory care was her need, and they have 24 units available there. They have very nice staff and activities. They have their own chef, too, and they have very good food. They have many different rooms like a library, a television room, and different places like that. There's always lots going on and things to do. The staff are very, very caring and nice. However, there are no appliances in the room. You bring your own furniture and things. The room has a very nice big bathroom. It's roomy enough. I think it's very clean. With regards to activities, they offer things like little exercise programs, bingo, and things like coloring. They have where entertainment comes in, and they'll occasionally bring in birds or animals and things like that. I think it's pretty good value for money.

We found Twin Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care for mom, and she moved in last November. They accepted the new choice waiver Medicare supplement, so that was a determining factor. The ratio between residents and the caring technicians was low. They're very caring and they're present. They are on top of it. The food varies, and it's high quality. They have activities every day. It's brand new and very clean. They have a gym, salon, and courtyard.
