The apartments at Midcrown Pavilion Senior Living were small. They had an elevator, but as you went up and down the stairs, there were bird feces piled up. I'm an asthmatic, and I didn't want to have to go past that every day to go to the elevator. When I mentioned it to the lady who was showing us the apartment, she said, "We only have two maintenance men and it ain't inside your apartment. So what do you care?" I was like, "OK." I wanted to move in there. The rent was accessible. We had talked about my moving in there, and my granddaughter was saying, "With your allergies and your asthma, you can't do that." I was saying maybe it was just on this floor, but it was on every floor. The birds had nested up in the ceiling, and it was a mess. The apartment on the inside was clean. They had a nice location. They had the step-in shower, and they had the front where you could go out and sit down and congregate outside. They just need to clean up that bird poop. One of the staff was very nice, the other one was kind of rough. I looked in the library area, and I could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a while. It was dusty. The nicest part of it was the front of the building.
