I stayed in Palo Pinto Nursing Center for 90 days. My overall experience was good. It's a miraculous facility. It's very loving and friendly. You feel like you're part of the family. They only have double rooms. No one has a private room. The people are on Medicaid, so it's a bare-bones kind of operation. Maintenance and upkeep were poor. They couldn't keep the water on for the laundry to get done. The food was good. What I liked most was the staff. They made you feel like you're friends. The facility was old and not adapted to modern times, but the value for money was excellent.

My mom is at Palo Pinto Nursing Center. So far, I've been very happy with the care that she's gotten there. My mom seems to be pretty happy. I know she does share a room with someone, so that's kind of interesting sometimes. She claims that she likes the food. She's on Medicaid. It seems like the facility is very clean. When I've been there, everybody has been friendly. I was happy with everything when I was there.

This nursing facility took good care of my father, and I felt like they tried to keep all their residents engaged and included even if it was just taking someone to the lobby for a short time. The administrative staff however wasn't all that great. I felt they could've visited with my mother a lot more to help her understand the billing in regards to Medicare.
