"My experience with the Barkley Plantation Assisted Living Community was a very good one. We went to visit a neighbor that had recently moved in and she was extremely pleased with her treatment and the facility as a whole. She considered another facility but ultimately decided Barkley Plantation because she could keep her dog. When we visited the facility we noticed right away how nice everything is and how clean it was as well. There's a patio the residents can use as well as an exercise room and a salon. I've seen several nursing homes and assisted living facilities and this one has exceeded any expectations I've ever had. The dining room and other areas of the facility are nicely decorated and are very welcoming. The resident rooms are very spacious and look very homely which creates a more relaxing environment for someone who has been uprooted from what they consider home. This facility is impeccable and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! "

"I think they give the best therapy in the whole world. When he got out of the hospital, he couldn't even hold his head up and within days they had him sit up in the wheelchair. The therapists there are really wonderful. They worked hard with him. The rooms are spacious enough. He has to have his food pureed; it's very good, and he enjoys it. This is the only VA qualified nursing home in Clarkesville and my husband is a retired military so he gets the VA benefit and that's a lot of help. "

"I like The Villages at the River Club. First of all, it's updated and clean, and they are very accommodating. The people are friendly. They try to help you in every way they can. The apartments are spacious and they will meet your needs. They supply the appliances plus a washer and dryer in your own room. The meal looked pleasant and appetizing. They have all kinds of places to go and even outside. Mom would have a little patio (because she will be on the main floor). Every time I've had to talk to the lady in charge, she was very prompt and got back to me quickly on any questions I had and was able to answer every question I was asked. My mom enjoyed it there. It was very organized and very pretty."

"Rose Stone was very nice, very clean, and very welcoming. The staff members were very nice and answered all our questions. You don't have to make an appointment; they are always available to show you around if you want to. The dining area was very comfortable and very nice. It's almost restaurant level but homier than that. They also had very good meals."

"We had no problem with our visit here. It's a great facility. We saw the rooms and we felt it's small. It had one bedroom with a bed in the middle and television. The dining room was spacious and food was very good. The staff were very helpful to us. "

"At the time that we went to Arbor Place of Puryear, we weren't able to look right inside because they had active cases of Covid. They didn't let us in as far as walking around and all we were able to do was just go right inside in the lobby area. We didn't get to see any rooms or anything. It was not very big. It's an older place, and it's way out of our price range for what it is. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. She was able to answer questions that we asked. The reason we were looking at this facility was that, at that time, my mom's brother lived right down the street. Also, it's only 10 minutes away from my husband and I, so it would have been very convenient. My mom would have been in the waiting list, but the staff said it could take anywhere from six months or longer. It is a nursing home, so you have to share a room. The building was very clean and well kept. They had a nice patio area. Because of where the land it's on, there's not a lot of shade around, so that was disappointing. There were no outside structures to get in and out of the sun, but overall, the outside was very nice."

"Spring Meadows Health Care Center was all on one level. The staff was really nice and friendly. They gave the option to have either an individual room or a shared room. The administrator has given me the information that I needed about the facility. They were very informative and answered all of my questions. They provided everything that would be needed. They will make arrangements for, like, the medication."
