If you’re ever searching for a place to put your love one, please don’t go by the initial tour. I highly recommend that everyone stay away from The Waters, it hasn’t lived up to the expectations we first had. There’s something bad always goes on with my mom. I’m just trying to help others so they don’t have to deal with the problems we having.

The facility is really short staffed, the quality of care is sub standard on the night shift, the facility is very smelly and the rooms are cramped for two patients. The beds are never made and mom is never clean and not dressed well. One day she was in the dinning area in her night gown way past 9 in the morning. We have addressed our concerns at least three times but things have just continue to get worse. Met with two administrators today, so hopefully the issues will be addressed. The care for our mother isn’t the quantity it once was and no excuse about the issues I have stated. Evidently, the management staff hasn’t discussed my concerns. I had a lady who is filling in for the director of nursing the next two days asking about what concerns I had. In the meantime, the assistant director of nursing was just sitting there and knows my concerns. Why didn’t she discuss the concerns with her? I wasn’t going to go thru all the concerns again with a person who doesn’t even work there, when the assistant director that was in the meeting I had could have advise her. I can’t even visit my mother without something happening up there. The home office needs to make a trip to McKenzie to get things corrected. This place is totally different than it use to be and way under staffed.

This facility has very nice staff, the nurses are friendly and treat the residents with respect. The facility was clean. The residents appeared to be well taken care of and the nurse call lights were answered in a timely manner. There are activities for the residents to participate in and the meals that are served looked well prepared. My friend's mother was there for only a short while after having surgery, but she did not seem uncomfortable while she was there. There was an outside lab that came in to draw routine lab work and doctors were there making rounds and seeing to patients both times I visited this facility. I did not once see a resident that appeared to be uncomfortable or in pain, and the nurses were constantly checking on them several times an hour. The skilled unit was staffed well and I saw physical therapists there helping to keep bedridden residents from getting stiff by helping them do exercises to keep their muscles from wasting away.
