My mom has been in The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale for two weeks now. It's close to my house. The people there are great. They're very kind, caring people. They're very easy to work with, and they're very helpful. We went to a dinner Monday night, and they served a gourmet meal that the chef cooked everything from scratch. I think they have all kinds of activities, and they do a lot of one-on-one things with the residents. They will take the residents who are more high-functioning people like a group of them, but then they'll take them out one-on-one, too. It has been great. I see the staff walking by the residents, stopping and giving them big hugs. They're not doing it for any other reason. They seem to love their job and love the people that live there. The food was amazing. It was really good. The facilities are nice and clean. I'm very pleased with them there. They seem great. I have no complaints.
About The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale in Collegedale, Tennessee
When memory begins to change, families often find themselves navigating unfamiliar territory. Licensed nurses are on campus around the clock, with 24-hour access to personalized care services, medication management, and pharmacist-led medication reviews. Our team is trained in the Best Friends™ approach — a relationship-centered philosophy that treats every resident as a valued friend, honoring their life story and individuality — and the Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care™, skill-based dementia training that helps associates understand how the brain changes with dementia so they can respond with confidence, calm, and compassion. Our Meaningful Day™ program is built around each resident's past experiences, interests, and abilities — because the things that made your loved one who they are still matter here. Residents enjoy restaurant-style dining with specially prepared meals by our culinary team. Caregiver support groups and pharmacist-led medication reviews walk beside families throughout the journey. Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove — our assisted living community — is right next door on the same campus. Founded in 1997 and locally led for nearly 30 years, Morning Pointe Senior Living manages and operates more than 40 assisted living and memory care communities across the Southeast — including right here in Collegedale.

My father resided there and received the most compassionate, loving care. The staff is exceptional and a family-like environment exists for residents and their family members. There are a variety of engaging activities for residents, especially during the holidays. It gave me great comfort knowing my dad was treated kindly, lovingly and with great respect. I am most grateful to them all!

The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale was a very nice place for their residents because they were pretty much all Alzheimer's patients. The staff that took us around was very helpful, and the place would have been a good fit for my dad at the time. While we were there, the residents were holding a blanket, and there were balloons bouncing off of it. It was nice.

My mother is in The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale. There are two things that we really like there; one is the different activities. The memory care does not let patients stay in their room. They have them out and this helps delay the aggression of dementia. Second, they have community peers continuously. Every week, they may have four groups. Most of these places have trips out, but we like this one because they have in-house activities. It is clean. The full-time staff members are very good. Of course, they use a lot of part-time help, but we like the full-time staff.

My mother is thriving at the Lantern. They worked her hobby's and former occupation into her care. She still works with flowers, watches birds, sings and helps out with day to day activities. The routine and interaction with others has improved my mother's overall health.

I visited Morning Pointe (The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale) and it was a very attractive place. It was like home away from home. The place was very clean and immaculate. The staff was very helpful.

This facility had all the things we're looking for. They have the best programs. They were available and were close to our home too. The staff was very knowledgeable and was very helpful to us and my dad. We had a really good experience with them. They have a lot of activities. They have different things everyday and there are a lot of groups coming in like singing groups and church groups. Family nights are held once a month and we went to that. Mostly the staff's compassion and caring stood out. They're pretty good and worked very hard at it.
